What was your first ever nhl game?
Mine was on March 4, 1995. Winnipeg Jets vs San Jose Sharks Final score was Jets 4, Sharks 2.
I was 5 years old and we drove down to winnipeg to visit my grandma for the weekend. She got us tickets for that game and it made me a jets fan. Then when i was (almost) 7, they left. I cheered for the coyotes for about a week then decided the flames were gonna be my new favorite team. So before you hate me, remember, I was a jets fan for one year.
Anyway, when was your first game?

I wish I could remember. I was likely 5 or 6 which was in the very early 80's. Some of my first memories were of booing Gretzky. I remember watching players more than anything, especially goalies because I became one. Mike Liut, Allan Bester, Pelle Lindberg and Pete Peters to name a few of the visitors. For the Jets, Doug Soetart, Brian Hayward, Pokey and the Bandit, Bobby Essenza, Rick Tabaracci, Tim Cheveldae, Beaureguard. Sorry for not answering the question, but thanx for letting me reminisce

March 4, 2006 Devils vs. Rangers Continental Airlines Arena East Rutherford, New Jersey I sat at center ice way in the upper deck at the Meadowlands, I think I was in Row 17 out of 24. About 1/2 the crowd was Ranger fans. The Devils got on the board first when Scott Gomez put in a rebound off of a Brian Gionta shot over the shoulder of Kevin Weekes I think sometime late in the 1st period. Then in the 2nd period the Rangers tied it, Rucinsky scored on a breakaway, Brodeur came out of the goal and tried to poke check and missed. Then the Devils scored on the power play later in the 2nd period, Gionta, who was my favorite player at the time, got his 34th goal, he got 48 that season. In the 3rd period the Rangers hit two posts, I think one of them was Petr Sykora and the other was Darius Kasparitus. The Devils won the game 2-1. Throughout the game these two guys who were sitting behind me and my dad wouldn't stop heckling and cursing at the Rangers, it was too funny, even though I can barely remember what they said. Definitely a great memory for me.

Sometime during the 82-83 season. I think I was 6 years old at the time. Cannot even remember who they played that night. May have been the Canucks.

07 Mar 1981 The Jets beat Montreal 4-2 on Tuxedo Night, only one of nine victories in that miserable season. The enduring image from that game was Rick Bowness pulling away from Guy Lafleur to score the final goal into an empty net to seal the win.

Mine was December 27th 1999, Anaheim Mighty Ducks @ Edmonton Oilers (Never got to go to a Jets game ) Ducks dropped the ball and lost 4-1 but aside from the whole first NHL game thing it was an absolutely amazing experience. My uncles company had a suite at Rexall so i got to sit in it and before the game I got a massive tour of the arena, first I got to see the broadcasting areas, then I went in the skywalk thing in Rexall, and lastly just in time I got to go to change room areas (Anaheims ) just in time for the Ducks to come out, I was 8 years old at the time standing there in my Mighty Ducks jersey and seeing them walk out was so amazing, Ill never forget it, as they passed me Paul Kariya said "I like that jersey!" and winked. Unreal! After the game I got taken back down to the change room area, interesting fact my older brother was with me but they almost didnt let him in because he was too tall lol. Anyways as the Ducks came out I got all their autographs, I also got my picture taken with Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya. Before we went to the room I got to go watch the broadcasters interview some Oiler player, no idea who it was but I remember it was live tv and we were right behind the drape background thing and I was warned/asked not to move or say anything lol. Will never forget it. Got to see the Ducks play the Flames in Calgary back in 09 and they won which was nice. Didnt know anyone who was a big cheese with the Flames so I didnt get to meet them but I stood by Anaheim's tunnel as they came out and got a high five from Todd Marchant. Gotta say Calgary fans are actually preety classy except for this one huge go jets go who kept heckling Giguere, nothing wrong with that obviously but he took it way too far when he shouted (Hows dad doin?) after he stopped a shot. Gigueres dad had very recently passed away, I honestly wanted to go fight the jerk

November 2, 2002. Lightning 3 at Penguins 5. Doesn't include preseason games at the mo. By the way, I think Prospal had all three Tampa goals. Been to the following: Civic Arena (x4) Wells Fargo Center (x3) Heinz Field (Winter Classic, hey it counts!) Nassau Coliseum Prudential Center (x2) Nationwide Arena (07 Draft) Scotiabank Place (08 Draft) ---------------------------AHL Arenas--------------------------------- Spectrum (Phantoms vs WBS...we got owned 4-1, but i think that was a Calder Cup Finals year) Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza (too many times to count. Some great memories.) Giant Center (x3) Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard (Playoff Game: Pens 3 Tigers 2 in OT. Matt Hussey with the winner) Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena (Playoff Game: B-Sens 5 Pens 2...we still beat them in the series after a triple-OT game 3 survival down 2-0) Hersheypark Arena (Charity game. Ultimate retro arena. If you have the chance, GO SEE IT) SEEN FROM STREET BUT NOT BEEN INSIDE: XL Center (formerly Hartford Civic Center) Verizon Center (at that point MCI Center) Madison Square Garden United Center (thank my brother) As you can tell, I get around. Also some baseball stadiums (Fenway, Camden Yards, Wrigley & US Cellular in MLB, as well as AAA PNC Field [SWB] and soon Coca-Cola Park [Lehigh Valley IronPigs]).

Barely remember my FIRST game. That was the Lightning-Penguins game i just posted.
The first game I remember was April 17, 2006. Pens 6, Islanders 1.
Crosby assisted on the fourth goal for his 100th point.
UNFORTUNATELY, that was a bad memory. I was in the bathroom while this happened.
Damn Igloo and its hikes to "el bano" and concession stands! At least they had the trough.

Early 90's with my dad HNIC against the Leafs, we lost 5-1 and about half the crowd were cheering for Toronto. That started my hatred towards that city, especially the Leafs.
