iceblue6789 - I feel bad for you in that your son was 5 when they left. He will now be 20 when they come back but you missed taking him to games for a great period in your son's life. Although not as good hopefully you took him to some Moose games.
I can't wait to start taking my 20 month old son to hockey games. I remember how amazing Jets games were when I was a little kid.

November 8, 1991 Age 8 Jets vs Mario Lemieux and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Lemieux, Coffey, Jagr, Recchi, Stevens, Barrasso, Mullen, Murphy. That team was stacked.
Pens won 3-1 and I had a beer poured down my back and I was wondering why I couldn't hear Curt Keilback.
Last game was March 1996 vs the New York Islanders with rookie Todd Bertuzzi in the lineup.
Also saw Teemu break Peter Stastny's record for most points in a season by a rookie back in '93

First pro game (WHA) woulda been in like grade 4, school patrols went to a few games a year. I remember getting to the school and riding on the bus (that was the best part of the experience) to and from the game. Would have been.....1977 I remember it was against the Nords, man did we boo them.
Snuck down into the expensive seats and got onto the roof that was built over the tunnel to the Jets changeroom. We hung over the edge and got high fives from all the players coming off the ice at the end of the period before security caught us.....
NHL, would have been first season, don't remember the team.

March 31st, 1992, Winnipeg vs. San Jose.
I remember the Jets trailed 3-0 after the first and went on to win 6-5. Great times.

Oct.28, 1979 Winnipeg Jet vs St. Louis Blues. I was 9. My dad worked for the Free Press at the time, and he got tickets through work.
I remember walking through a corridor and seeing the players already in warmup and thinking how bright the ice was, and how big the players were. I can remember that feeling like it was yesterday, literally.

i think it was around 1991 or 1992, and it was the Jets vs the Capitals, and the Jets lost

How the hell do you guys remember the exact date of your first NHL game? I don't even remember who the Jets played against. My first game would have been in either 80 or 81. I don't recall. LMAO.

www.databasehockey.com/boxscoreThat's how I found the exact date, I knew it was the Kings, I knew I was 11, I knew it was around Thanksgiving and I knew it was a 6-3 Jets loss.

The first game that I remember vividly was the first game Randy Carlyle played in a Jets uniform after being traded from Pittsburgh. I believe the date was March 9, 1984. We were sitting in the north end zone, when a player fired the puck above the boards.
My dad tried to catch it but it deflected off his hand into the aisle. I raced after it, and picked it up. we still have that puck. The Rangers won 7-6 in Overtime.
We did not have season tickets, but we did buy quite a few Jets mini packs though the 80's and early 90's. I may have gone to about 40 NHL games in total.

My first game was March 27/81 against the Canucks. It was the one and only game that Jets' goalie Ron Loustel played. The Jets lost 10-2 that game and Loustel let in all ten. According to online records, he also had 41 saves. He never played another game and retired after the 82-83 season at only 20 years of age.

He probably had PTSD afterwards!
