Haven't seen one yet. I am 550 miles away from the nearest major sports city (Boston) and 600 miles from Montreal.

First Jets game was somewhere @ 1975 against the Oilers. All I remember was Bobby Hull scored and the Jets won. First NHL game was the first season, my Dad took me to see the Flyers (Bobby Clark!), Bruins (Gary Cheevers scarface mask!!) and the Whalers.

Not quite NHL, but I did attend the Canada USSR game in Winnipeg in 1972, Also, the Jets home opener against the Alberta Oilers also in 72. Can those count? My grandpa went to that game as well.. man I am one of the younger ones on these boards.. not to make you feel old or anything! Sorry! I'm too young to be old (atleast, that's what I keep telling myself!)

Can't remember which game was my first. I would estimate that it would have been around 1983. We lived in the country and came in for about two or three games a year. I still remember as a little kid (age range from 6 to 12) being in absolute awe when we would arrive at the game and enter the seating area from the concourse. The ice was so bright and I was so excited. We would go to games early and when the Flames played there was a player that would take most of the practice pucks and throw them into the crowd.
The year they left was my first year living in Winnipeg and I took in about 20 games. It was fun but sad at the same time.

First NHL game: 1989 Toronto Maple Leafs at Los Angeles Kings
Kings win 5-2
First and only Jets game (so far) April 1995 Edmonton at Winnipeg
Winnipeg wins 6-5
Two of the best memories of my childhood.

my first ever NHL game was back in the 89-90 season. Detroit Red Wings Vs JETS. I was soooo pumped for the game. I think it was the old $7 tickets from 7-11. The Jets ended up winning the game 7-5 and I remember there being a big fight where everyone on the ice had their gloves off including Hawerchuk and Yzerman dancing. Don't remember any punches being thrown between the two though.

My first game was in 87 or 88 - Jets vs Canucks. I was around 10 years old and remember being amazed at how "small the rink was". Being a kid, I was naive and for whatever reason, thought the ice surface would be much larger than our local small town rink. Oddly enough, my first Bomber game, I also was amazed at how small a football field was ...
Anyway, Jets lost 3-1 ... that's all I really remember ...
My 2nd Jets game was also a loss, this time 6-5 to the Oilers and remember Petr Klima scoring the game winner with less than 3 mins left in the game ...
Some other exciting games: I remember being in the upper deck in the early 90s for Evgeny Davydov's 1st game as a Jet ... it was vs the Sharks ... I remember Davydov had a partial breakaway in the 3rd period and he hit the crossbar ...

Another thing that came to mind about this game was Daniel Berthiume skating all the way down the ice to drop the gloves with Glen Hanlon.

My first and last NHL game was against the Calgary flames in 1996. Don't really recall anything from the game though. I was 7 years old and I remember feeling sick and had red dots on my legs and chest, I hid it from my parents because i thought they wouldn't let me go to the game. I remember this because the next morning was Easter and my dad had the camcorder out, underneath my jets pajamas i was covered with chicken pox. o and the jets won 4 to something lol

My first and last Jets (and NHL) game was in 1994. I was two years old, so I remember very little. Parents told me we were in the lower part of the upper section and we had a pole in the way. I think it was Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames.

First game (of 3 that I vaguely remember) was a Jets game sometime in the 80's when I was around 4-5 (so '86/'87-ish) at the old barn against the Minnesota North Stars. Everything was going fine until the Jets scored and I was startled so much by the noise that I started crying I think they won that game 3-1 or something (could have been a loss for all I know, I just remember that I cried again at the sudden uproar for the second goal, and I think I was mentally prepared at that point when the 3rd one happened). Still, great memories. My Dad still remembers that moment, too. Man, I can't wait to take my son (May 11th due date!) to games here! I'm so glad I get to do that like my Dad & I got to do.

My first jets game was when they played the Leafs at the old barn in 1984. I don't remember the date, but i'm pretty sure the Jets won 6-2.
We sat three rows behind the net.
