MakeItSeven.ca sponsored the Blue Jays game on Sportsnet last night. I wish they'd drop the "7th team to Canada" tag. It's not about Canada, it's about Ontario and Balsillie.

Your right, it's only about Jim and Hamilton.
I don't take these reports of other offers from these group seriously. NHL is just using them to try and strengthen their case.

I wish they'd drop the "7th team to Canada" tag. It's not about Canada, it's about Ontario and Balsillie. This boards not about Canada it's about Manitoba and a ownership group I get what you mean, if Balsillie didn't overuse that Canadian "blanket" so many times I would be more interested about Hamilton but this isn't the way to go about getting an NHL team.

Meh make it seven in reference to Canada sounds a crap load better than make it 3 in regards to ontario. Well if it works out in hamilton which I think it will it can only make expanding to another canadian market more desirable.

Letter from our good pal Jim!: I want to thank you for getting behind the Make It Seven campaign and personally provide you with an update. Yesterday Judge Redfield Baum asked all sides in a Phoenix bankruptcy court to provide him with information around a possible relocation fee the NHL may charge for the Coyotes franchise to be moved to Hamilton as I have proposed to do. However it works out, the issue of a relocation fee, while a new development, does move us one step closer to bringing the Coyotes to Hamilton. I am fighting for Canadian hockey fans because I know you've been out there fighting for my bid. I appreciate your support. And I want to reassure you we're still moving toward our goal. We're looking forward to instructions from Judge Baum, but you should know as a makeitseven.ca supporter that I am committed to continuing and winning this fight to bring a seventh NHL team to Canada. Our movement continues to build across the country. We've even got our own song now that we found on YouTube. Check it out at www.makeitseven.ca/index.php?id=watch&vid=1202552. Today, three new corporate partners are throwing their support behind the campaign. Prime Restaurants, DeWalt Tools, and FirstOntario Credit Union have joined anchor partners Labatt and Home Hardware on the Make It Seven campaign. These new partners and the people signing up daily on the website are adding some tremendous new bench strength to the Make It Seven team. It's incredible to think that over 155,000 fans have joined the campaign by signing up to the website at www.makeitseven.ca. We want to keep the momentum going and give Canadians an opportunity to demonstrate their desire for a seventh team, so I am excited to announce that we have chosen June 19th as Make It Seven Day in Canada. This will be a day for Canadians to show their support in a variety of ways. Our corporate partners will be celebrating Make It Seven Day with us and you will be hearing more about that in the days to come. Please tell more of your friends to sign up www.makeitseven.ca, watch for our partners' Make It Seven Day promotions, start to plan your own Make It Seven Day activities and stay tuned for updates on our progress. Thanks. Let's Make it Seven! Jim

Now former players are endorsing Make It Seven: Make It Seven fans, I have had the privilege of playing for seven different NHL teams in my career. The number has a nice ring to it, don't you think? There are no greater hockey fans than Canadians and like you, I want to see a seventh NHL team in Canada. Thursday I am in Toronto co-hosting the annual "Dougy, (Jim) Cuddy and Friends Celebrity Bowl" for Special Olympics, a bowling tournament that raises funds to support sport programs for people with intellectual disabilities across the country. Jim Cuddy and I are being joined by 50 celebrities from the sports and music worlds to support this important cause. Jim Balsillie shares my passion for sport and for Special Olympics. And I share his passion for a seventh NHL team in Canada. So I am asking you to help us. Please support Special Olympics by visiting donations.specialolympics.ca/. And of course, please keep signing up your friends to www.makeitseven.ca so together we can make it seven! Doug Gilmour

He's getting so desperate, let it go Jim you've lost... Jim Balsillie's bid to bring a seventh NHL team to Canada continues. We're still here. The Phoenix court confirmed Mr. Balsillie was approved as an NHL owner in 2006 and remains so. We believe he has made the best offer and Hamilton remains the best location for this team. The court did not approve either our approach or the NHL's. Judge Baum did state he does not have time to decide all the relocation issues. But the court still controls the sale process. As a result, we look forward to hearing from the NHL soon on its view of our relocation application and an appropriate relocation fee, so as to allow the court to determine if that fee is reasonable. We still think there is enough time for the NHL to approve Mr. Balsillie's application and move the team to Hamilton by September.Makeitseven supporters need to make their voices heard to convince the league by participating in Make It Seven day on June 19. Read more about how you can support Make It Seven Day at www.makeitseven.ca. Jim will be emailing all of us with his planned next steps, so we continue to ask you to urge people to sign up now to show their support. Tell your friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers to sign up. Together we will Make It Seven.

Send a message to the commish!
Supporters of Make It Seven, In his ruling on June 15, Judge Baum clearly encouraged the NHL and Jim Balsillie enter into mediation to settle the matter of relocating the Phoenix Coyotes to Hamilton. Jim Balsillie is more than willing to discuss relocation with the NHL and we need you, the fans, to help bring the league to the table. We have written an email that you can quickly and easily send to us and then spread the word among your friends so that we can deliver the message to the NHL.
Click here to see the letter and send it to the league.
With your help, we will Make It Seven.

Make it Seven Day details "Make It Seven day is all about providing a voice to Canadian hockey fans, while raising money for minor hockey teams across the country. Canadians have proven themselves to be the best hockey fans in the world. They need to be heard," said Jim Balsillie, who also urged area fans to attend a noon rally Friday June 19 in Hamilton. Make It Seven Day can be celebrated by any hockey fan, anywhere in Canada on Friday June 19. And by celebrating, fans will be helping raise money for minor hockey programs in their communities. The rallying cry is being supported by corporate partners Home Hardware, Prime Restaurants, Labatt Blue, DEWALT, and FirstOntario Credit Union. Make It Seven day plans include: • A City of Hamilton fan rally from 12-1:30 p.m. EST at Jackson Square in downtown Hamilton, directly behind the proposed new home of the team, Copps Coliseum. • Home Hardware (www.homehardware.ca) stores across Canada will help raise funds for local minor hockey. Consumers will be invited to make a donation to a local minor hockey program and will receive a "Make it Seven" window sign to show their support for the cause;• FirstOntario Credit Union (www.firstontariocu.com) is holding barbeques at 17 branches Friday and Saturday to raise money for minor hockey teams, while distributing T-shirts and pins to fans who participate• All guests who order a Labatt Blue at a participating Prime Restaurants (www.primerestaurants.com) location (e.g. Casey's Grill * Bar, East Side Mario's, Fionn MacCool's, Darcy McGee's, Paddy Flaherty's and Tir Nan Og) will receive a colourful "Make It Seven" bumper sticker;• The Labatt Blue Facebook Contest (www.facebook.com/labattblue) offers fans a chance to win season tickets for team's inaugural season; (what a load of s hit!, didn't he do that already? What did that prove?) • Prizes and gift cards from DEWALT (www.dewalt.com), Prime Restaurants and Home Hardware are available to win on select radio stations across the country;• FirstOntario Credit Union, DEWALT, Prime Restaurants, Labatt and Home Hardware are supporting the rally in Hamilton. "It all adds up. We have a market that is crying out for an NHL franchise, great fans, a plan for a state-of-the-art arena and tremendous corporate support from Home Hardware, Labatt Blue, Prime Restaurants, DEWALT and FirstOntario Credit Union," said Jim Balsillie. In addition, Make It Seven Day offers fans a chance to "pick their starting lineup" through an interactive e-card available at www.dreamline.makeitseven.ca to send to friends, family or co-workers. Fans can play the part of GM and coach as they build their own team of beer-leaguers and all stars.Fans can draft six friends and forward them the customized e-card with a picture of their friends' names emblazoned on Make It Seven hockey jerseys, to mark Make It Seven Day in Canada.
