I hate hearing about the Bomber debt every year and what a struggle it is to make a dent in it.... no one even talks about WHY the Bombers are in debt.
Is it because the lack of revenue that can be generated at the old stadium? (no luxury suites, restaurants, club seats, lousy concessions, etc) Is it because of Wpg Enterprises? Is it because of poor management? Repairs/upkeep/rent? All of the above?

actually they do talk about why. it's because of poor seasons in the late 90's and an aging facility with no suites. thats what you hear everytime theres a new article. they'll be out of debt after this season

Funny how it works for the Bombers, they're only 'up money' after a grey cup every 5-6 years and slowly lose money until the next grey cup.

The Bombers are really busting the bank just to get to the Grey Cup. I say they'll be all set if they can get there. But I say that it was a waste signing Onterrio Smith. We have the best RB in the league in Roberts and we reward him by signing an NFL running back. hmm, I don't know. I would've thought we were all set at the running back position, but what about QB. Come on, Taman has to get his head in the game.

smith only got a $50000 deal, and he is very versitile. so he was basically a steal

Versatile maybe, but is he a problem in the dressing room? He has a history of drug problems, but he has talent, so does that make things rough in their. If I was in Roberts position, I'd be angry, and frankley I don't blame him for kicking up a stink.

Smith needs to have a huge game this week against Montreal in fact it may be his make or break with the team (although I think he would be put on the practice roster). He would be great for short yardage situations. He has never had a history of trouble in the locker room, but he has a history of marijuana use and then was caught with his apparatus to avoid detection and is now under suspension. If he plays as well as he has in the past $50,000 is nothing and the Bombers will have a huge ground game, (they will need it as it seems that Glenn may not be the answer)

I agree completly, but I really thought the Bombers would address there QB problem. Glenn is a solid backup, and may be a potential starter in the next few years. But for now, what about Michael Bishop, I know he's on free agents, and if we're going to make the grey cup, we need a QB. Is Bishop the answer? If not, is there any other possibilties? I really wish we had been able to snag Kerry Joseph in the dispersal draft, that would have been the solution for us to make the grey cup.

Bishop is a joke. He's the same guy that played for T.O. right? (if he isn't , then im sorry) Every game he played he had troble completeing the passes, im pretty sure they lost every game he started, the only thing he has is a strong arm, but he doesn't know how to control it , in a dome nonetheless, never mind open air staduims with actual wind like here or saskatchewan.

Dope or No Dope.

bull, if you think glenn is a starting qb right now, you know nothing about football. He's to young and isn't reliable. Who cares if he had the fifth highest qb rating in the league, there's only nine starters so its not that good! We need a qb, plain and simple.

ah, wrong. have you ever watched football kid? have you ever watched glenn play? glenn is easily the best young QB in the game other than ray. he's very reliable until theres about 5 minutes left in mthe 4th quarter. the bombers don't need a new qb, they need to get rid of dumb fans like you, who wouldn't know he was watching football if he got hit with the ball in the face

alright, well when glenn chokes again with 5 minutes left, in the game that could get us into the playoffs, just remember that he's the best young qb....... anyways, are you even a fan, i probably see more games than you, with my season tickets and what not, so anyway, i hope glenn sucks so bad this year, thats what its gonna take for fans like you to realize....

for the sake of the Bombers I hope Glenn flourishes as opposed to flounder...but I fear the latter is more likely. I could very well be proven wrong this season with an improved o-line and capable receivers. Let's cross our fingers...
