Atlanta is a good bet. I think Nashville's days are numbered as well.

I honestly would look at the Florida Panthers great young goaltender, defense I think with a few right free agents this team would look great in the MTS Centre

I am thinking it could be anyone but the 'Original 6', Philadelphia, St. Louis, San Jose, Colorado and New Jersey (who are moving to Newark in a year or so.)
Everyone else is fair game right now. However, the best bets are Buffalo (still no owner,) Nashville, Atlanta, Florida and Carolina.
This all depends on what owner we get stuck with or it wouldn't work here new CBA or not. For instance, if Karmanos came with the deal with the Hurricanes, I wouldn't take that no matter how much you paid me. The guy is a community cancer who has ruined every market he has touched and doesn't give a damn about putting a winner on the ice.
On the other hand, I don't trust Chipman as a principle owner either because he hasn't exactly been good to the community here either. The next owner has to be someone other than the current owners of said teams or Mark Chipman or it will sink faster than the Kansas City Scouts.

It's gonna be Carolina. I have no doubt in my mind. Raleigh is a dead hockey market. The owner wants out, and the "fans" are more than apathetic.

Seriously. Raleigh (and the RBC Center) is all about NC State.

There r many teams that can be looked. The panthers, the thrasers, the hurricanes, the ducks and nashville as well. I'm sure im missing some but already we have a few right there. If it wasnt for winning the cup. Tampa would of definitely been for sale but unfortunately winning the cup will keep them for one more year... maybe two but i doubt it.

There are probably 10 good candidates that could wind up in Winnipeg. The best franchises for Winnipeg would be Nashville, Florida or Atlanta because they are all young teams who have already gone through their worst seasons and are now slowly building into powerhouses.
Fla=Bouwmeester, Luongo, Horton Atl=Heatley, Kovalchuk Nas=Tootoo, Vokoun, Sullivan, Erat

Personaly I'd like Nashville. Mostly cuz of TOOTOO. I honestly think that if he played in the 'peg he'd do awesome, probly be happy to return to FREEZIN COLD winters and actual HOCKEY weather where you can play ICE hockey (not field hockey or w/e) in your backyard... and plus, he played for Brandon, man the MTS centre would probly go crazy bout a homegrown 'toban, I can just hear it "TOOTOO,TOOTOO,TOOTOO............" man tha'd make a great chant. But it's probly gonna b the 'Canes becuz they have no fans (none as in NONE compared to winnipeg, 20,000{not even} casual fans VS 100,000+ DIEHARDS ) and they have a HORRIBLE ownership. But remember, no matter what franchise we get, we WILL sell out EVERY game

I love the Florida thought. ;D
A lot of good kids in that organization.
But, I know that Disney has had the Ducks for sale for some time now. So, there's a team that could eventually end up here.

In my opinion this is how I see it.
Teams Not Going Anywhere:
Toronto Montreal Minnesota Boston New York Rangers Detroit Philadelphia Colorado Phoenix- Sadly New Jersey - Just got a new arena deal in Newark
Teams Possibly For Sale:
Ottawa - Financial trouble, hate to move a canadian team Buffalo - Same deal Carolina Nashville Columbus Atlanta Florida Anaheim Dallas - Too expensve Pittsburgh New York Islanders St' Louis - seems this team is always for sale
Questionable
Chicago- How much money can they lose San Jose Tampa Bay- were on the block until the SC run Calgary - can never be to sure Edmonton Vancouver Washington - have to compete with the Expos now lol Los Angeles

No NHL team will ever leave Canada again.
The Americans just don't care enough about the sport.
Which one the reasons why Winnipeg will eventually get another team again.

It won't be the Thrashers: They're guaranteed a future NHL All-Star game... so I don't think they'll be moving for awhile. I don't even know if the team is for sale. They're probably losing millions every year though.
Nashville is a good guess... a good choice too, because of Tootoo and it'd be so easy to re-arrange the NHL divisions (simply put Minnesota in the Central- where they should have been all along, and put Wpg. in the Northwest division)
Florida Panthers: good chance.
Anaheim: Good chance too.

It will all end up on how many teams will remain in the new NHL. So this is hard figure out.
However I see Nashville or Anaheim as possible teams that would relocate simply because the NHL would want to keep each conference equal.
Hurricanes and Panthers will leave in a heart beat. Though if it weren't for the new arenas and All-star game in Phoenix and Atlanta then those teams will be on the market.

(Im jesse) Anyways...
Anahiem, is getting close to these new owners, and they said, they will keep the team in ana. Because of the arena. Hmm.
Atlanta and flordia, are the only oens who really never came right out and said it wasent them who phoned wpg, or lookin for relocation. Another thought, they have always had bad attendance, and losing money BIG TIME.

It won't be the Thrashers: They're guaranteed a future NHL All-Star game... You mean Atlanta is guaranteed an A.S. Game much in the same way we were guaranteed the draft before they moved the Jets and took that and awarded that to Edmonton?
