For the people that have already gone and signed their ticket agreement, have they offered any kind of parking passes for sale?
I know they don't have their own lot like the Bombers but I know they offer event parking for concerts.
Also what is the parking situation like when the MTS Centre has a sold out building? I have only been when crowds are small and their was no parking problems.
Just trying to get a feel for it. I'm sure it won't be bad like the Bombers will have next year.

Your best bet would be to take a bus. Parking will be absolutely insane every game.

it was busy for sure, but not to the point where i wanted to take the bus.

I had no problems finding parking for the Moose Calder Cup Finals games in 2009. You know, the games where they opened the upperbowl and had 14,000+ fans in attendance? And of course, game 6 was a sellout? Yeah, those ones.
You shouldn't have any issues finding parking. Just make sure to leave early to avoid the slow-moving traffic.

Your best bet would be to take a bus. Parking will be absolutely insane every game. You mean like during the day, when 70,000+ workers converge downtown? Or, like the various concerts that have 14,000+ in attendance? There is more than enough parking within a short walk of the MTS Centre, assuming not everyone is showing up by themselves. I personally will bus, only because I know I'll be drinking...

The viscount gort at portage and kenaston told me that they are having a shuttle service for each home game. All you have to do is park there, drink a beer or have some food, then its free there and back. Pretty good deal if you ask me, especially cus I live 5 minutes from the hotel.

there's plenty of parking for events at MTSC. It's not that bad, even when they have 15,000+ in there for concerts. Most of it is underground and connected by skywalks. I usually park at the library.

I believe that True North actually does own evening parking rights for four parkades downtown: Cityplace, Millennium Library, Portage Place and Winnipeg Square. You can buy advance tickets to parking through True North online via Ticketmaster. Example: www.ticketmaster.ca/event/110046B5F6245B39?artistid=942933&majorcatid=10005&minorcatid=103

The parkades close to the MTSC will fill up, but IMHO there is ample parking within a 5-6 block radius of the MTSC. I've been to many full events at the MTSC, never had any issues parking.

i asked the ticket rep when I selected my tickets about parking passes for season ticket holders; he said that something will be coming out in August in regards to that issue & that we'll be notified. I've attended sold out MTS Centre events, and the traffic is not an issue. I think its b/c you aren't funneling people specifically out of one road -- there's multiple ways to get out of the downtown area and that seems to dissipate any perceived traffic problems. ps. I also work downtown and, other than the day the team was announced when they had to close off P&M, traffic problems were never an issue. Despite what others may say about Wpg, one of the advantages of living here is that there are relatively little to no traffic (compared to the big metropolitan centre's like the GTA, Vcr, MTL, etc.). pps. if they offer free rapid transit to the games, I might try it out. I know in Chicago they offer it, and everyone drinks a lot more -- I mean A LOT more!

I still don't understand how TN makes money off of parking - there's so much free parking on the streets around MTS.

ive been to many building sellouts, including being late, and still have ZERO problem finding parking within a 5 minute(ish) walk. just explore downtown and u find all the parkades, as well as surface lots offering parking. it can get pricey if you want to park super close!

I wonder how much the cost is to park. I'm fully prepared to pay around $15 as thats the cost to park for Twins games in Minneapolis.
