I like Buck but I honestly wonder if he shouldn't retire to protect his health... Dunigan was a warrior who wanted to keep playing after multiple concussions, and even he admits that his brain is pretty scrambled now as a result. Health is more important than sports glory.

Buck is perfect for tv, and seems to be setting himself up for a second career with his radio show. Don't be a Lumsden, get out and move on.

Made of glass? Are you kidding me? Stamps were head hunting, plain and simple. Two illegal hits and not the kind where the defender is amped up...they were deliberate attempts to injure. The official should have ejected someone after the second one to send a message (even though the first one was worse).
I was thinking to myself they should pull Buck just for the fact the Stamps were clearly fine with taking penalties to try and end his career. It was brutal.
If TJH doesnt fumble the ball, we win the game. Offence is looking BRUTAL thus far.

Exactly. Made of glass? Did you see the hits he takes?? No other qb would take hits as hard as him, they would just slide. And cal was head hunting.

Maybe injury prone you would like better!

Being bruised up after those illegal hits isn't injury prone at all. He's shown he's built pretty tough this season thus far.

He's expected to play next game, I dont think theres a qb in this league that would have stayed in the game after taking cheap shots like that.

Buck isn't made of glass... Calgary was head hunting... The stamps have always been a dirty team. (Ok maybe not ... maybe I'm just bitter because Buck took so many unnecessary cheap shots)

The o-line needs to step up more and protect him. Remember that hit he took in the first game against Hamilton? Theres no excuse for letting a man get to your QB that easy.

If the information on the injury is correct, it has nothing to do with his tendency to injury. Quad contusions are direct consequences of a large impact. You could be the least injury prone guy ever, and you're still going to get injured in that situation.
Besides, it sound pretty minor. The only real injuries I think Buck has to worry about are concussions. All his other injuries are the kind of things that happen to QBs. It's rough out there!

ya but we have a solid backup who has won games last year ! WHAT we traded our solid backup the nightmare was true , bad trade ! Calgary D is dirty ,late hits on Buck seemed like the game plan and it worked and only 15 yrds penalty for each cheep shot , the CFL needs to fine those players

^ thanks for the update on Jyles , my point is qb's get hurt all the time in football and i would take Jyles over Elliott . i remember how good he played against bc in a comeback win last year

Jyles played great once last year, had a terrible injury that is hard to come back from, is on the 9 game IR and you wish we had kept him? How exactly is Jyles even relevant to this discussion? He wouldnt be coming in for Buck.
QB's get hurt. If you listen to certain fans when hindsight is 20/20, they'd say smart teams have two or more number one QB's "just in case". It doesn't work that way.
If you feel you need a second starter then it's time to get rid of your first starter. What would everyone be saying right now if the Bombers had traded Buck and annointed Jyles as the man and he went on the 9 game?
Buck is an elite level QB. Joey Elliott is a solid young talent. We'll be fine.

TSN's Dave Naylor just tweeted this:
"WPG QB joey Elliott has torn ACL. Likely gone for season."
