Can anyone confirm that along with the press box addition, two new private suites/boxes are being built as well? FOR TWO NEW OWNERS? ;D

Anyone have a recent pic of the press box expansion work? Not the most recent as, the walls are up, and framework. Waiting for glass, etc.... This picture looks like it's from about a month ago......

Thanks. Interested in seeing it take shape. Anyone know how it is going from 60 to 150? Is the bottom portion bigger or are they just adding more exits\washrooms to allow 15 more people on the top floor? Just curious.

Any cosmetic, "NHL style" changes to come? Ie: another ribbon, new scoreboard, advertising etc..

Any cosmetic, "NHL style" changes to come? Ie: another ribbon, new scoreboard, advertising etc.. I've been watching a lot more NHL this season than usual, and it seems to me like our ribbon and scoreboard are almost pathetically small by NHL standards. I swear Phoenix's ribbon is at least twice as wide as ours - I hope ours gets replaced.

Wasn't there talk of a new scoreboard in upgrading MTSC to HD for the NHL?

^ I recall rumours about that, but nothing concrete has been publicly disclosed. On the upside, all of that technology is a LOT cheaper now than it would have been in 2004. Just consider the price of a 60" HDTV from then to now to get some idea of how far prices have come down. You can get a lot more for less money these days.

Yeah how big are the actual screens on the scoreboard? With the price of big HD TV's being so low now, I really can't see this being a particularly big investment in the grand scheme of things.

Any cosmetic, "NHL style" changes to come? Ie: another ribbon, new scoreboard, advertising etc.. When I was at the Moose game the other day I noticed a lot of SFX upgrades. More lasers, the lights are brigher and more crisp, there is now a strobe light over the nets. I don't know if these upgrades have been in place for a while and I've just never noticed until I've recently started to look for upgrades... Moose Productions do an excellent job! As well there is definite construction to the left and ride of the existing press suites, no clue what its for but its definitely interesting to question what it could be!

With the bottom part being below the obstructed views it will have more seating available. Plus, the top portion has the scoreboard/power ring control room, radio and TV booths, etc. which also take up space.

How about new glass? Many rinks have got rid of the seamless and have gone to a plexi glass with partition version that offers way more cushion.

MTSC boards seem to have quite a lot of give for seamless... I wonder what the players think?
