It was just out of frustration that I posted. I always tried to post valid info on there and sometimes had to defend myself from the idiots that post there...apparently you have to either be local or kiss the locals butts. No Thanks!

It's obvious that the ROTJ and CC.net boards have completely opposite views. Here, we rip apart every article that doesn't agree with our point of view, and they do the same. Is there any real reason to go over and antagonize each other?
It stands to reason that if you are going to a message board, you are expected to either fall in line with the general views there, or are at least willing to be very polite and engage in friendly discussion. Anything short of that is just trolling.
I don't blame the cc.net fans for being defensive. We are trying to take the Coyotes away from them (and hopefully we will sooner rather than later). What is being accomplished by getting into a feces throwing competition?
Let's take the high road. If you want to talk smack about sunbelt hockey and the Coyotes, do it here. Besides, this forum is THE best place for up to the minute news (much better than hfboards), and it's way more active than cc.net. To top it off, everyone here is pro-ROTJ. This place is also pretty well organized and not over-moderated (Thanks Hendrix!). So, LT, don't be bummed that you're not on cc.net anymore. This place kicks Go Jets Go anyways.

I am a fan of the team not the city. I posted on there before that the website is global and for anyone who is a fan of the team, NOT only for local yocals. This whole trolling stuff is garbage. If you don't like what people post then skip them and ignore it. I'm a little sick and tired of the whole trolling crap. Btw I wonder how legal it is to run these websites and just ban people without cause. Not a big deal but I can see the day when the courts may get involved. Maybe it would be difficult seeing as it's the www. These mods seem to have a lot of power that they may not deserve.
I've had warnings on HF Boards and I barely said a thing. It's getting quite rediculous if you ask me. I do understand when people are really being a troll and trying to egg people on to arguements but there is absolutely no reason people shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinion.

There's a really funny thread over at Coyotes Corner were they're discussing Keith McCullough's comments (ie. "People in Phoenix don't go to hockey games anyways..."), and the majority of posters came to one of two possible conclusions: 1) the video was altered because Ice Edge would never say such things 2) David Shoalts is the devil...even though he has absolutely nothing to do with Keith McCullough giving a candid interview on Bloomberg TV...

No I was not serious just thinking out loud. There is something called freedom of speech and I was just thinking that some of the mods on sites kind of do what they want without answering to anyone. They make up their own rules and pick and choose when they want to apply them. This site is actually run really well, it's others that I have issue with.

To be honest, most forums are like that. Moderators direct the discussions and topics in ways that THEY feel are appropriate.
This site is one of the best because DF, JH and the other mods are fair, open-minded and willing to consider all possibilities.
If you ever get a chance, check out the Sportsnet forums. There's only one moderator, who's convinced all the Canadian NHL teams will eventually relocate to the USA and he harasses/bans anyone who disagrees - which is ironic because it's a Canadian sports forum.

I think of like a newspaper "letter to the editor". The editor can pick and choose the letters they publish and not everyone gets to be published. No different on an internet message board. The owner of the board should be allowed to control the message and those who don't like it can create and pay for their own space.

Freedom of speech and the Charter of Rights applies to any government regulation / restriction on speech. Private owners can regulate speech however they see fit.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I made a visit over to Coyotes Corner to see what their assessment of the situation was, and it seems like they're basically on the verge of breaking down emotionally.
I'm pretty sure they've started banning all posters from Canada (which is ironic, considering their only moderator is from Canada...) and instantly labeling anyone who questions the Hulsizer deal as being a troll (even their own posters).
I just thought it was funny to see.

Not sure how you arrive at the above conclusions. Just like ROTJ isn't a place for supporters of the Coyotes staying in AZ or Thrashers in GA, the coyotescorner isn't a place for fans from Winnipeg hoping for a return of their team. Doesn't that make sense? I'd say the fans over there are no different than the ones here in the respect that we all get high with positive news and down with negative. The roller coaster is in full swing but it is going to come to a screeching halt momentarily. Where it stops...?! Nobody knows...

I just thought it was funny to see. Yup. They just banned me because I tried to explain why so many people think that the Jet's were "stolen" from Winnipeg, based purely on an emotional standpoint. They didn't like what I had to say, and as a result I got banned. There is no democracy on that site, and it should be interesting to see how these clowns react if the Coyotes actually do end up relocating. Can't say I'll feel sorry for them one bit!

Just like ROTJ isn't a place for supporters of the Coyotes staying in AZ or Thrashers in GA, the coyotescorner isn't a place for fans from Winnipeg hoping for a return of their team. I guess I should have been more specific. They routinely get the people from Winnipeg trolling the site and telling them that the team will move, but recently they've started banning long time posters that are based in Winnipeg and have continued to follow the team after they relocated. In at least three different threads, one of their moderator has ignored the content of a post and simply stated "I can see your IP is based in Manitoba...we all know what YOUR agenda is!", followed by banning the poster altogether. I know it's a stressful time, but that kind of stuff would never cut it here. The mods wouldn't ban someone simply because of their location.

Too funny to read your post and just above yours is a post from WJG who claims that he was banned earlier because he explained to them how they 'stole' the Jets.... What did you expect? Do you honestly believe he was banned because his IP is based in Manitoba? Grow up guys. There is no point in trolling over there. Why do you think there is no trolling by Coyotes fans on the ROTJ boards? That's right, JHendrix70 and the rest of the mods wouldn't stand for it. This is a place for Jets fans and those who support a return of the NHL to the great city of Winnipeg. All other can have their own discussions on their own boards - free speech and all. GO JETS GO!

I went over there to read the posts and one person from Manitoba was banned after a post because he posted like he was from Arizona. That same poster (is that you lover boy?) logged back in again and has not been banned. Furthermore, I can see that there is at least two other Manitoban's posting and they have not been banned. Therefore, if you cannot post respectfully, do not post on that site.
