I will be watching tonight but i will shake my head during the last 3 games of the series This would've been the Zenith of the Jets history but it was another blown series in which they couldn't finish the job...the Stanley Cup banner should've been up that year but it wasn't to be...when Hawerchuk got traded it was another blown shot to the Jets fans...was there a reason he only scored 26 goals that season?? did he just give up or Mike Smith just buired him down that year??

I found out about this game about 2 hours before it came on TV. While watching it (It's taped now of course) my father said "Didn't we see one of these games?" I then replied, "Game 3 Dad". That was one great game. To say that we're crazy fans is an understatement. Did you hear the sounds when we scored? Let alone, I remember being there and as soon as we touched the puck and crossed our own blue line, the arena was going crazy, all game.
Now you tell me who loves hockey? Tampa Bay? Florida? Columbus? Carolina? Let me see their fans go nuts like we did.
Oh yeah, did I mention, I HATE the "Minnesota" Moose. Which of course means I hate the Manitoba Moose.

Where do you think the Moose will end up when the Jets return? I would hope Victoria, BC due to it's close proximity to Vancouver, and unlike Winnipeg, the fact that there are actual Canuck fans in Victoria.

That's what you get for pulling Essensa from the series, when he played spectular for most of the first 4 games. Sure, Anderson took him out of the game with a suspect hit, but he was good to go for Game 5. Why they went with Beaureguard for games 5-7 remains a mystery to this date. However, the Jets coaching staff really outdid themselves two years later, when they started Tabaracci for the Canucks-Jets series. Nothing like benching your Vezina Trophy calibre goalie for the playoffs. For the final three games, Tabaracci couldn't stop a shot to save his life.

I still talk to many people in Winnipeg who say the Jets will never return. And they are mounting in numbers.
It bothers me that we've lost so much hope for a hockey team. I know about 5 years ago I was still a die hard Jets fan but knew they couldn't come back to the NHL because of the high salaries, I accepted that. But since the lockout talk started before the 2003/2004 season, I said, "Hey, if the NHL gets what they want, I can get what I want, The Jets back." But yet, there are so many people who are convinved that will never happen. The only excuses they give is Chipman and salaries. Not only that, but they hate the new arena because of the washrooms.
You know, when there is a team wearing blue with red and white stripes, with a logo that says Winnipeg with a picture of a Jet on it, do you really care what the washrooms look like ?
