Anyone have any pictures of the 1 or few games the Jets wore red helmets on the road. I believe it was during the 94/95 season, when it was believed they would still be staying. I think they wore them in Toronto one night on HNIC. The NHL said they could only use them on 5 occassions, but not sure.

Ya they wanted to go back to the red helmets,but they didnt get the NHL's approval before the season started so it was a no go,the NHL wont allow teams to change their look during the season,a request had to be made before the season,something about marketing I believe.......I had/have one of these games on tape with them in red,but its either misplaced or lost forever along with many other games.

Well, even though they wore Blue Helmets with their "away" Jersey's at the time; when they played in the Nike International Challange; looks like they only took their Blue Helmets with them!  Looks odd wearing Blue Helments with White Jerseys  |

ha, ha, ya it does look odd. I've never seen pics from that. I had the poster, with the "tourn" logo on it, but they didn't use those pics. Nice find.

Hahahah red helmets!!! My dad got me a RED helmet for hockey cause I loved it!!! hahahha

Didn't watch the whole game though because being saturday I went out and got plastered |

To me the blue helmets made them look tougher in the white uni's,and the red ones I loved,cause they wore them in the WHA for a bit,it was like turning back the clock for a few games.
