What do you guys think? I was fairly too young to remember many of the players, but I am aware of the biggies... Selanne, Hawerchuk, Steen... but I was just wondering who you all thought were the top ten Jets of all time!!! (P.S. I am sorry if this topic had already existed, I tried to search and couldn't find it... If there is, please delete this!!! )

very hard to pick a "top ten" isnt it? so i just kept with the NHL era Jets, and man, the list ( my list) is missing some very worthy notables. very tough.

He only had one "memorable" game as a Jet. He would have been the best goaltender had they stuck around. The best Goaltender would be Essensa or Daley. My list would be: Dale Hawerchuk Teemu Selanne Thomas Steen Bobby Hull Anders Hedberg Paul Maclean Randy Carlyle Morris Lukowich Teppo Numminen Bob Essensa

Moe Mantha made ur top 5? Ya he made my fav list,he was the first Jet who's name I learned from my first game, sitting in the second row,me and my friend would chant his name during every faceoff he was at the blueline,we were the only ones-lol,well one time we didnt,he looked at us raised his hands as if too say "hey wheres the chant from my fan club",but in noway do I think he's one of the top 10 Jets though.

lol...nice, i totally get that! me and my buddies used to love Peter Taglenetti ( sp?)/ we listened to the game on radio more times than we got to watch them play back then and when the announcers would say his name we thought that line was wicked because peter, tagli and eddie were always on the puck! i think it took us a couple of games to get it right.

Honestly I would only name 10 players from our last season, being at that last playoff series was just a rollercoaster, they really did give me the most entertainment ever! I was born a little late for the WHA but I can only assume those last games were better than the AVCO's?

Just saw Teemu play one of his last games tonight, Oilers vs. Ducks at Rexall. He got 2 assists, 7 shots, and was the 2nd star. He was the most dynamic player on the ice tonight... amazing for 39 years old.
I really hope he doesn't retire. One more year with the Jets is how he should end it.

On Sportsnet; they showed a guy and his girlfriend / wife. Said they drove out from Winnipeg to watch Selanne in what may be his last Edmonton game.... Wasn't you was it? Woman was wearing a Jets Knited sweater!

nope... wasn't me... I was in my Selanne (blue) Jets jersey and my wife was in an Oilers Gretzky jersey and a Jets hat. Got tons of positive comments (as usual) from Oilers fans.. some saying "they're coming back." Always nice to hear. Did they show me on tv? Oh.. I forgot to mention... We were trying to meet Teemu after the game.. waiting outside Rexall... No luck. The Ducks left on the bus and went straight to the airport. But....the silver lining: Khabibulin drove out in his SUV. He stopped and signed autographs out of his car window. He signed my wife's jets hat. I didn't get him to sign my Jets jersey.. that's reserved for Teemu... if I ever get to meet him. Still pretty cool to meet Khabby.
