I wonder if this has something to do with one of these new flight laws regarding chartered planes in the US,but thought that if would effect Canadian teams more. Either that or it may be cheaper to fill up a plane once,then renting a crap load of U-Hauls when the team moves.

where does it say they "purchase" the plane? i don't believe that's true...more like a one year lease...they need the plane now that Moyes' aircrafts are out of the picture

"It's being provided through an arrangement with Paradigm Air." I'm sure it's a lease or barter or something but I very much doubt they purchased it.

uMMM... Do you count the older retired Winnipeggers as Phoenix fans? I am sure the local fans wont even notice, they don't really notice the season starts and ends, or that there are NHL games in the arena. In all fairness tho, its super hard to leave the hot beaches of Arizona. LOL
