lol looks more like 1500-2000 I was thinking more like 500. ( Counting BOTH sides...) Sad how we KNEW the Jets were leaving and STILL managed to have an average ACTUAL attendance of: 11,316

I am really curious as to what their season ticket/mini-pack base is.....
If Balsillie wins this and keeps them in Phoenix for the season, it will be downright embarrassing to see their home game replays on the sports highlight shows!

At least 3 or 4 times as many people attended the NIN concert in my place than watched that game in Phoenix! Is that even news anymore?

Yeah yeah the attendance for the 3 exhibition games really sucked. However it didn't seem much different then the attendance for last years 3 exhibition games. After all this embarrassing court room circus crap this summer, I was happy to see them drop the puck and just play. I am glad that it was Balsillie who tried to buy Coyotes. If a normal Canadian billionaire had tried to buy them, I'm pretty sure that they would not be here this year. Having said that I also feel that the Coyotes will not be here next year. I base that on what I know about the shortsightedness of the Glendale city council, the local businesses which depend on tourism, Bettman secret plans, and the general apathy of the non-hockey fans. So speaking for myself this will be a season to remember. I just hope that those fans who finally decide to show up for the last game in PHX will show the same pride Winnipeggers displayed for the Jets back in April 1996.

I have to say USArizona that even though there have been many on this board that have written lots of negative comments toward the Coyotes organization and the Phoenix region and fan support, you have always been polite in your postings. You are to be commended and have probably earned the respect from many on this board. You are a true hockey fan!

Agreed. In light of everything your posts are very mature. Overall we only make fun of Phoenix in terms of the support for hockey that the NHL states it has. I really feel bad for true hockey fans in that area such as yourself.

And in the end, arena attendance is a very distant second to corporate money, TV deals, and building leases as far as the NHL is concerned.
