The Dig for May 28 28/05/2009 4:24 PM | Comments: 1 It's not original. It's not groundbreaking, but we think it's very cool anyway. We have partnered with many media outlets in the city to push for a 'Black Out' during the home games of the upcoming Calder Cup finals at MTS Centre. Why black? Well, the Jets did the White Out thing. That was 13 years ago. We thought it would be awkward to go there again... kind of like dancing to your wedding song with your new girlfriend after the divorce. We think this one should be unique... The Moose colours are black and green. They could play Back In Black by AC/DC. It's all good. We recommend that you wear your green and black Moose jerseys, kind of like the Calgary Flames and their red jerseys. Failing that, a dark coloured shirt will do just fine. Plus, as the Oakland Raiders and New Zealand All Blacks will tell you, black is very intimidating. And slimming. www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/blogs/white/The-Dig-for-May-28-46403327.htmlAh there in your earlier post, I see what you must be referring to now. John White thinks it's only a Jets thing, thus must be dead. For the record I said that it should not have necessarily died with the Jets as the John White Free Press blog seems to suggest. My whole point was that it was not a Jets thing but a Winnipeg thing, thus very much still alive. It can and should be used for any major event that the masses would deem appropriate. I also said that we had a pretty decent white out for the world juniors, thanks for reiterating that so we don't forget.
