Gotta love that Jeremy Roenick not an elite player anymore but still is in his mind In light of this whole Coyotes bankrupt situation I thought I would post something I read in an old THN magazine. "Going to play for Wayne Gretzky, I appreciated the oppurnuity, but I didnt know if I was there as someone trying to help the team win or if it was more about Me being a ploy to sell more ticketsSo not even Wayne Gretzky the greatest player of all time could sell tickets in Phoenix but Roenick thought he could

I have never understood why anyone would think that Gretzky would be able to sell tickets as a coach, who goes to a game to watch him coach or to watch anyone coach?
I would say that Roenick was absolutley right, that he was a ploy to sell tickets, at least he was on the ice playing.

Yeah but aren't all hockey players a ploy to sell hockey tickets? He talks like it's a bad or unexpected thing. I think Jeremy must have forgotten that the act of playing hockey in itself doesn't actually pay the bills.

There a ploy to win hockey games which SHOULD sell more tickets. Roenick seemed to think they were more interested in his self seen fame as a player then his actual (slim) skill.

J.R. should line up beside Wayne so DBP can kick him in the junk as well.
