Even the younger Jets fans should remember this one.
Sixteen years ago today (March 2/03) Teemu Selanne scored three goals during a 7-4 loss to the Quebec Nordiques (just two days after scoring four goals against the Minnesota Stars) to eclipse Mike Bossy's rookie record of fifty-three goals.
Selanne's three goals against Quebec gave him fifty-four, on his way to a new (and still) record seventy-six goal season.

i was at that game. one of the best memories i have. I was 13, and I can still remember how sore my hands were from clapping so hard!! It was certainly a great memory and something I’ll never forget! Even in the days ahead where I go senile and can't remember my future wives name; I'll still be able to remember this moment clearly! ;D
