On Tuesday Feb 10....4 of the 7 struggling teams all ahd home games.
Nashville had an okay crowd because of all the Wings fans in attendance screaming for Detroit
Florida had a horrible crowd despite the Leafs being in town. Loads of green seats
Tampa Bay wouldn't even post their attendance and you can see why. Blue seats everywhere for their game vs. Atl.
And the Islanders had likely under 10,000 as they took on the Kings. More blue seats than people.
You can see from the higlights of each game on NHL.com. The attendances are posted around 12,000-14,000 but actual people is closer to 8,000-10,000.
Quote Gary Bettman: "The NHL is seeing record growth and revenue".
Really? Those six Canadian teams must REALLY be raking it in.

Dallas at home against their southern rival Coyotes and the building looked about half full or is it half empty. The fact is that the southern market teams have absolutely no rivalaries and their attendance for those games are less for transplanted Canadians are less interested in attending. This all has to come to a sudden crash!!! Just like GM, Ford, Chrysler and all those big US banks that everyone thought could never go under have!

I find that amazing, how they can post false attendance. Why not just save yourself and fix the NHL? Instead of digging and digging more of a hole for yourself? I just don't get it my god.

I would be curious what's the real attendance in all NHL teams arenas based on people going at the games. I wouldn't be surprised if some major junior teams in the CHL had better avg crowds per game

Yeah, they averaged at 11714 this season and their attendance is based on fans in the arena, not tickets distributed, the reason why their 11 sellouts in the past 4 years are under max capacity. Keep in mind that they have some of the cheapest tickets in the entire league, though (for regular season it's $13 for adults, $7.50 for students, $10 for 65+ years old people, $5.50 for 6-12 years old kids and free for kids under 6 years old). I think in Montreal there are $50 tickets
