Automatic Goal?

My dad was telling me a story a few days ago about an old WHA rule where if a player on the bench reached over and touched the puck with his stick the other team was given an automatic goal. He said he remembers it happening in a jets game where Bobby Hull was try to recieve a pass when a player from the others team's bench (He didnt remember what team) reached over and stopped the pass thus thus our jets got an automatic goal.

Anyone remember this?

maybe he was going in on the open net. similar to earlier this year when a player had a break-away and got hauled down resulting in an automatic goal
