the team is now 13 games played, 3 wins and 10 loses...but not only that, the team hasn't been losing by 1 or 2 goals...they're getting blown away almost every night...they have scored 30 goals, but have allowed 59...

Wayne's GAS Problem was becoming a BIGGER and BIGGER distraction behind the bench, Players and Coaches complained of NAUSEA and LIGHT HEADEDNESS which caused the team to suffer on and off the ice!

Gretzky needs to give up the past and so called loyalty to these veteran players. It's a new NHL and players like Roenick and Nolan are not game breakers. Joseph is well past his expired date also. Gretzky may know how to lead a team, but he sure sucks when observing talent. That should be obvious during the last Olympics. The team he built was based on loyalty and not Canadian skill that can thrive in wide open international play.
He can stay as a coach, but maybe needs to let the roster be up to the GM.

Yes. He has followed in the footsteps of other superstars, who go on to fail as coaches.

Yeah, Roy is doing incredible right now, who knows? He might make it up there soon...but its fun too see Gretzky fail. The second best player the NHL ever had is the worst coach the NHL ever had. Ed Olczyk was better... ;D

he should have started at the bottom like patrick roy, not gone straight to the top when hes never done it before. Yeah I think Gretzky should come back to the CHL if he wants to learn how to coach. He needs to remeber his roots and where he came from. I think a couple of bus trips from London to Sault Ste Marie or Gatineau to Chicoutimi would straighten him out. I f he has success there then he should keep on pursuing his careeerr. He shouldve done that to see if he enjoyed it before taking this job with a weaker team and trying to go a mile a minute. I don't think he has the patience to even become a half decent NHL coach

He has a lot invested the the Coyotes, if not in terms of dollars, in terms of reputation. I think he stays to try to see this one through. I laugh at people who say he brings in fans who wants to watch him coach. I have NEVER gone to a game to watch anyone coach.

Gretzky's not resigning. The team is playing better now anyway.
Even before they started to turn things around (but haven't turned any corner yet), he already stated he enjoys coaching and is more so this year than last. I doubt he'll be giving it up soon unless his family asks him to.
I'm not even voting in that poll because of the horrible choices Wagner3 had provided. The only one that would've made sense two weeks ago was choice #2.

It was a miserable expierience watching him play against us, and it's a pleasurable expierience watching him coach our old team now.....................
