Yeah, with the Jr. hype all done now it's definately back to following the Moose! Got tickets for tomorrow night and I get to see a former Jr. in Brad Boyes who's ripping it up with Cleveland! Should turn out to be a good game! ;D

The answer to "where to from here" is simply to continue to build on the movement, support ideas bringing people together for pro-Jet events, and wait out the CBA War.

So where to go from here... where to go from here indeed! WHERE TO GO FROM HERE by dj domain
1) Establish the campaign as an institution of some sort. What I mean by this is make Jetsowner.com (or just the effort in general, not necessarily this site) an actual organization. Make it official, like a company. Possibly give it a new name, appoint a few dedicated people to be 'in charge' of things, even open a bank account so we could do fundraising. The socials at the Pyramid for example. Any money raised could go towards hosting this site, or renting billboards to advertise for the cause. (Maybe this is already what is going on, I don't know). I think part of the reason why some people don't take us seriously is because to them, this just looks like a bunch of rowdy hooligans who can't let go of the past. If we could organize ourselves in a professional way, maybe we could get more attention and respect from the media and local personalities who have their heads up their Go Jets Go *cough*CharlesAdler*cough*. 2) Car Decals! The t-shirts were a great idea. The only problem is, we live in Winnipeg, where it is -20 or colder for 7 months out of the year (not to mention almost the entire hockey season!). How often do you see people wearing t-shirts in public? One thing that never changes in Winnipeg though, is that everyone drives cars. We should make some car decals the same way that WinnipegHeights.com did. Nice and simple ones that go in your car window and everyone sees while stuck in those traffic jams. I'm sure they're not expensive to make. We could sell them at small businesses all over the city for five bucks each. Hundreds or thousands of decals on cars all over the city would be hard to miss! 3) "Save The Jets" Rally at Portage & Main In the spring (that part is important), why not have a huge rally at Portage & Main like they did back in '96? Get 1000+ supporters to come out in Jets gear with signs and block rush hour traffic at Canada's most popular intersection! Do it the night of a Goldeyes game and/or arena event to maximize attention. All the local TV channels have cameras on top of the TD and Richardson buildings downtown and would show aerial shots of the rally on the prime time news. Talk about publicity! 4) Moose Games This has already been mentioned, but I think its really important. Brings jetsowner signs to each game. If we had 3 or more jetsowner signs at each game, the commentators and tv cameras couldn't ignore them. Plus, with the NHL gone, it might not be so bad to go out and see a hockey game on a Saturday night, even if it is the Moose! Show that we can sell out the AHL and we deserve the best! These are all just ideas that I thought of at work today. I encourage everyone else to give their ideas too, we need more idea sharing around here so the campaign doesn't go stale... go jets go!

If we do another event at a Moose game or somewhere else where we will be televised, we should definitely have a big jetsowner.com poster like DJdomain did for the world juniors. That sign brought a lot of attention to this website and was very effective in bringing in new supporters.
Once again, good job DJdomain.

Yeah, car decals would also be effective at spreading the word. Maybe Darren can have some ready for the social and hand some out.
