Heh, I just can't wait til I have kids, so I can tell them "Daddy can't take you to the Jets game because there are men there who don't like children at hockey games, they think it's a game for 18-40 year olds. They'll probably get mad at daddy for explaining the rules to you while the game is going on."
What an atmosphere the Jets games are going to have...

I used to go to games with my dad. They were kick Go Jets Go. It was my father and I and we bonded. I loved it. But now a days you get packs and hoards of loud obnoxious kids who yell louder for Mick E. Moose than when a goal is scored. These are also the kids who kick your seat and roll around in the ground to get a beef jerkey stick. If you're gonna take your kid to show him this great sport, then be my guest. But the kids at the Moose games now are all little brats. As for the old people comment, not all of them are bad. But when it comes to electricity, they're not quite up to par. My friends and I sit behind a few older couples and every time we get loud and rowdy and try to cheer on the Moose they look at us like they're disturbed by it. I speak only from personal experience. I'm sure your dad is a kick Go Jets Go hockey fan, as is mine. Didn't mean to step on anyones toes with my comments!

I don't think the playoffs are in doubt. 6th in the whole league isn't bad at all. They're in a bit of a funk right now, but only the best teams in any sport go a whole season without a blip on the radar screens. No one's suggesting that the Moose are one of the best teams ever, though. And to suggest that with every losing streak, the commitment to winning is lost is plain stupid. What I am saying is that it was never there to begin with. Expect the moose to get swept out of the playoffs yet again, (assuming they actually get there for once,) and watch chipman smiling as the score is INSERT CRAPPY AHL TEAM HERE 10-moose 0.

I had free tix to the game and I didnt go...not that I hate the moose or anything. I'm not a basher at all, I like em..and I love hockey. I just..wasn't pumped for it, I dunno why. It was a typical lazy-sit at home Sunday afternoon I guess. Or would that make you more motivated to go...hmm, who knows?
roll around in the ground to get a beef jerkey stick-haha I dunno why...but that was halarious, so true...
Moose games are ok. Their fun at times...but really, the atmosphere isnt great. It can be, but its not consistant..unless its like OT or something. Its just arenas that are louder+ more into it, are more exciting.

Well if the moose can do one of 2 things to change my views on them:
1. Show that they care about WINNING. They never have in the past and that nonchalant attitude starts at the top and the team is reflective of it's leadership. Spare me the "we are an affiliate" BS. The Chicago Wolves are every bit as strong and committed to winning as they were in the IHL, what's chipman's excuse?
2. They can leave town like nowish...

Because they're AHL hockey, because they're not exciting to watch, because they're the Canucks farm team.
