Winnipeg Jets 'Path of Dreams'
This is a dynamite revenue stream idea for our new NHL team!
Funny thing is, I might've mentioned this idea in this section a few years ago... ah well; no time to look for it now!
I propose a "Path of Dreams" brick foundation around the MTS Centre OR a "Puck Wall" in one of the concourses.
Brick idea:
It's simple. Anyone on Earth pays $100 to our new team and a "paving brick" (with your message/greeting of choice inscribed onto it) will be used for the area surrounding the MTS Centre. Sure, it may involve digging up the sidewalks and replacing them with these paving bricks, but it could be fit into our "Enhancement/modification of MTS Centre for NHL hockey" budget.
It could be a great way to honour a loved one, promote businesses/organizations, celebrate a special event, as well as a way for citizens to contribute to our new team.
Puck wall:
Xcel Energy Center does this. The same idea as above, except your message of choice is inscribed onto a hockey puck, and displayed in the concourse of the MTS Centre.
A portion of each of these revenue streams could go to charity or a local hockey organization in Manitoba.
