If you've ever seen an NBA game,(Ive seen a grand total of one). You may see during the warmups that they have kids tossing the ball to players. A freind of mine was in Toronto entered a draw to do that but withdrew when he found out if you are lucky enough to be chosen you have to pay a fee, I thnik it was almost $1000.
We could incorperate that idea and have young hockey players assisting during warmups, and as a bonus let them stand with the players during Oh Canada if you watch an hockey game you'll see that most teams do that.
We probably couldnt charge $1000 a pop, but we could get some good cash for something as good as that as another bonus we could get the kids autographs

I know, whats funnier is that people still pay without blinking, from what I hear, not a whole ton of people enter and if you keep trying you will eventually get picked

This shouldn't be something that the team charges for, it is a great PR to let the kids come out and stand with the guys during Oh Canada. That alone would plant the bug in those kids heads, hassling their parents to take them to more games, buy them merchandise and so forth. BTW the Moose do it right now and the kids think its awesome imagine if it were the NHL.

I heard Kevin Spacey entered his name 100 times to become a ball boy. But when he found out it was basketball related, he kept his $1,000 and walked his dog in the park instead.

Make sure the stick boys know that in the event of a bench clearing brawl, they will be expected to fight the other team's stick boy.
