Someone may have suggested this already, but when the jets come back we need to have a bus made strictly for transporting people to and from the games, just like the bombers have

Umm... how exactly is this a "revenue stream" for our new NHL team?
And besides, there are tons of Winnipeg transit routes that go by the MTS Centre already, many many times a day and in the evenings.
Can't say the same about Canad Inns Stadium.
I don't think the Bombers make any $ off of people bussing it to games...

These should be used as the "shuttles" to take fans to and from the MTS Centre for Jet games: ... just close off Portage Ave. for 5 minutes every half-hour for these babies so they can land.

Wow, that Jet's color scheme and pattern in the top left would be awesome on a jets jersey!

The Bombers don't have buses strictly for transporting people to the games... Anyone with a ticketcan ride Winnipeg Transit for free to and from the game. Other private companies (e.g. tours and bars) also offer this service to its patrons.

The Transit system last time I checked allows you free transport on the buses if you just flash your ticket for the Bombers game. I'd likely work differently for the Jets, since the Jets would be under Private ownership, rather then the public ownership of the Bombers currently. I have a feeling that the city an hour before the games would likely just increase the service to the downtown area to aid with traffic congestion, as well as to make a buck off of all the Jets fans who'd be going to the MTS Center. Makes money for the city, and potentially for the team as well, as fans would be more tempted to go to the games knowing they don't have to spend thirty minutes looking for a parking spot.

The Bombers have/had a bus for the games,it was a park and ride system i think, they would take off from major malls i think one and a half hours before game time, and if you showed your ticket you could ride for free, should be in the yellow pages transit guide,if its still in operation.
As far as a Jet bus, dont think that it would fly, going to games at the old arena transit never added busses going to games, but they did have busses waiting outside the arena after the games for all areas of the city.
Dont think there is a need to add more busses going to future NHL games in the Peg,I can hope on a bus every 20/40min if i need to,and I live in Transcona.
