Hmmm... The makers of "ClodHoppers" (candy - www.clodhoppers.tv/about.html ) are from Winnipeg... I wonder if they would manufacture a Jets variant, and call them "CloudHoppers"...?

They actually sold the company a last year to a Vancouver based candy manufacture. Chris still has some sort of roll with the company and Larry went into bottled water.

I actually sent them an email (couldn't hurt to try, right?): "Good day! I know that Mr. Emery and Mr. Finnson are originally from Winnipeg, and based on this, I put to you this question: If the Winnipeg Jets do return to the NHL, would you consider creating one (or more!) variant of your confection with the name "CloudHoppers" and the Winnipeg Jets and NHL logos on the packaging (with a percentage going to both organizations)? I have no affiliation with the NHL or any potential ownership group interested in bringing the NHL back to Winnipeg, but as a proud supporter of the "Return of the Jets" campaign ( www.jetsowner.com ) I would like to help find different revenue streams to help the club when it comes back... Thank you for your time." The response: "Mr. Bonomo, Thank you for your email and interest in our company and Clodhopper products. At this stage it would be very difficult and way too costly for us to do. The cost will be greater than our Marketing budget, and we are too small of a brand to be able to do. However we definitely support Winnipeg getting an NHL team. Once again, thank you for your great suggestion and for thinking about us. Best regards, Betty Motter Brookside Foods" It was worth a shot...!

I think you would be better off selling CloudHopper T-Shirts. I think they would support a charity first before a NHL franchise.
