Winnipeg is blessed to have a lot of Jets fans who may live just a bit far from Winnipeg to make every game. We have the Palliser Triangle, Brandon, Kenora, Northern Minnesota towns and cities (Duluth-Superior) Grand Forks, even Fargo-Moorhead (200,000+) and other ND cities, , Thunder Bay (100,000) and Regina (200,000). How can we get them to come here more often for Jets games?
Maybe local tour and charter bus companies can strike a package with the new NHL team here. Have some passenger train service to Grand Forks and Fargo? Could anyone add any ideas?
Discuss.

How can we get them to come here more often for Jets games? By getting a team. (just kidding) but it's a start. We've had season ticket holders from Brandon, Grand Forks, Fargo and Kenora. I know this because I've talked with them at games. The ones from Fargo actually shared their tickets with 2 other couples, but we do get support from people other than Winnipegers. IMO I don't think were going to have to do much marketing to sell season tickets, they'll sell themselves.

That is good to hear!! Even though there are many more who can't make every game, They can make tons of weekend trips. I also noticed a lot of Ontario plates in Winnipeg for the last couple of years. There are tons of Jets fans in North Western Ontario

i think the new team should be marketed obviously in north west ont, sask, north dakota an northern minnesota...how would they do this...play some exhibition games, try to get the games on local tv and radio (more revenue), try to get daily news paper coverage in the sport section (not just the regular newswire, cp or ap stories but actual reporters assigned in certain markets...in other words, try to get some of the larger towns and cities to adopt the team...the aspers own a lot of media, so they certainly could help in this regard
