I am confused about Darren's estimate on the luxury suites. He has a season price of $150,000 for each suite but I don't see where he has the cost of the tickets for the games included in his revenue charts.
Is it because tickets are included for all events with the suites? If that is the case based on 12 seats, that means each ticket over a 44 game schedule is worth $284 ea if it were just based on hockey tickets. This doesn't include the tickets for Aerosmith, Cher, the circus or whatever else comes to the MTS Center.
I am sure that in the States, you rent the suite and then have to buy the tickets for each event as well.
Maybe someone or Darren could clarify this for me.

Thats a very good point... I was always under the impression that you purchased the box, and then purchased tickets for each event as well... I could be wrong though.

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS!
When you lease a suite it includes X # of tickets to it's main tennant's games. I.E MTS Centre - Moose tix included.
Concerts, the Circus, Disney, motorcross, curling, or whatever else are optional and extra.

Do you have a link? If you are correct, then everyone's revenue projections based on 15015 seats is wrong.

In closing I think that should just about clear it up finally. My revenue projections I made here returnofthejets.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=ROTJ&action=display&thread=1138078265 back in January was based on "ticket sales" only. I did not included suite seats. I did however use 13657. Nobody wold believe me when I said you cant use 15015 for projecting revenue, Hatrick and others even had it out with me. Now Finally we get the true info released. Actuall number is 13702

Now Finally we get the true info released. Actuall number is 13702 I never once argued about the 15015 number for seat revenue, and I know that for a fact. I always used about 14,000 for my revenue projections on seat sales as about 1,000 are in luxury boxes. What we did argue over was the # of seats there is outside of the luxury boxes, and I remember right I said it was like 14,000ish, whereas you kept using the 13,700 number (which you are using again now) but the problem is... that 13,700 + the amount of seats that are supposed to be in the suites does not add up to 15,015...as I believe there is supposed to be about 1100 suite seats? I'm sure its buried somewhere on the board and I dont have time to dig it up again... so w/e.

I never once argued about the 15015 number for seat revenue, and I know that for a fact. I always used about 14,000 for my revenue projections on seat sales as about 1,000 are in luxury boxes. I never said you argued about the 15015 for seat revenue, but you do as to the capacity for mtsc. So let me get this straight. You are still disputing the fact that there are only 13702 (not including the suites) even though I have posted a photo from ticketmaster that states there is only 13702 "sellable seats". This was my point exactly. The number of seats in the suites is not the problem, in theory anyway. It'd actually 1120 total available "spots", I'll explain later. Here is the original thread regarding capacity. returnofthejets.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=ROTJ&action=display&thread=1105305318As for the suites, there are 40 suites (including the party suites) with 16 "SEATS" and 10 with 18 "seats" For a total of 820 seats included in the "Leased price" .There is an option of purchasing 6 additional "TICKETS" per suite, thats an additional 300 Tickets. For a total of 1120 suite capacity. Here's a link to confirm. www.mtscentre.ca/suites/party_suites.pdf The problem has always been your stuck on 15015 as total capacity when it's actually 14822. The discrepancy comes from what there was "supposed to be" and what there actually is. This is the link to the Quick facts on the mtsc www.mtscentre.ca/arena/index.phpAs you can see the figures here are from the design stage and were posted in 2002. None of these figures add up and never have. The only true figures are the suites. Upper bowl was supposed to have 6203, actual figure 6072. Lower Bowl 8812 seats (includes private suites, party suites and club seats). Actual 8750. Club seats 936. Actual 857. Sections 218 and 219 were also to be club sections but got changed in the process. Proof here This is an early photo that was posted on truenorths's web site very early in the build stage, but has since been removed. Luckily I saved a copy. Hattrick are you still going to dispute these figures as I have posted links and facts to verify all information. When using numbers for revenue, 820 is included for suites. 13702 for regular seating and 300 for additional suite seats. For a total of 14822.

Good stuff with the info on the suites... where did you get the info that theres 16 in 40 suites, and 18 in 10 others though? I previously estimated 16 people per suite the last time I see, so theres a change, however are those 6 additional tickets available in ALL suites, or just the party suites though?
For the club seating, my assumption on that reduction is that they didnt make the ones at centre ice shown in your pic into the final design, which might be about the 100 missing club seats, which would make it irelevenat to total # of seats if thats the case.
Either way, it still doesnt make sense to me that they annonce the sellouts at the #'s that they do... yet ticketmaster shows those #'s(and they did back in January too, so nothing has changed)... is there standing room only tickets sold when they sellout or something? I tried checking other arenas, and the few I looked at show the seating diagram.... but not capacity #'s. Weird... why would MTSC show it though... especially if it appears to not be what it is?

I previously estimated 16 people per suite the last time I see, so theres a change, however are those 6 additional tickets available in ALL suites, or just the party suites though?[/quote] I have/had, just cant seem to find it right now, a large master seating plan that I guess was to go to ticketmaster retailers, yet nobody seems to have them. Anyway, on the seating chart you can see each seat, including suites. 40 had 16 and 10 had 18. The 6, and only 6 additional tickets are available to every suite. No we cant cram 100 people into every box!Well actually, if they did put the club seats in 217/218 there would be even less total seats in the MTS centre. The club seats are wider than the normal seats, with more space between seats. This is why I believe they eliminated them and put in regular seats. Exactly! It doesn't make sense. Why lie about capacity. There are no SRO tickets sold that I know of yet. The only place there could be SRO is in the Labatt lounge, and even then I'd say 20 max. All arenas show capacity to some level. The reason they do this is promoters need this info when booking concerts and other shows. Hence the reason the ol' barn was getting passed over. Some are just harder to find. Here is a couple. Another funny thing. Here is a picture of the Hockey capacity of the MTSC from mtscentre.com Now the one from ticketmaster.com Notice: 100 Level capicity = 52 seats dissapeared 200 Level capicity = 2 seats dissapeared 300 Level capicity = 13 seats dissapeared First if we take the 67 seats that disapeared add it to the 14822 we now know of, we still only get 14949. Wheres the other 66 seats. Oh yea, they were never there. The arena never had a capacity of 15015.
