in some part I agree to help renovate the MTSC up NHL standards like adding sky boxes.
And help renovate the Met centre (right across the street from the arena) into Manitoba and Jets Hockey shrine like the hockey hall of fame in TO.

I heard a rumor that the Met ws going to become the Manitoba Rock and Roll hall of fame. As for casino money going towards the Jets, I can't ever see that happening, Casinos are run by the government, why would they give money to a private business |

Yeah.....I don't see the government giving one red cent to ANY team/franchise that may call Manitoba home. If they did, Man our taxes would go sky-high. In the past 15 years, they have made TONS of money, anyone actually know where it goes?  |

hell if we could use the casino to generate money, the ppl losing money at the casinos would have an excuse. they would say "i'm just trying to support the jets!" ;D

Our government is to busy spending 2 million dolors building teepee's on Main and Higgins. Too much of our hard earned money is just being given right back to the government in many way's. Examples our free school given to native aboriginals and projects just to do with one culture. It's about time our city woke up and started dividing things a little more even and not just favoring one culture. If I have to struggle in life and cant afford to go to school because I don't have the funding why should someone get to go for free because of there race. For a Country that is suppose to be multicultural and fair sure isn't if u ask me. Stop recycling waste and build a city.People before profit.

Also how we forced our culture upon them(not entirely, but partially) and they have to adapt to things like living in a big city when they had always lived in small groups out in the wild for thousands of years, and put up with stereotypes against them because people just dont get it.

This is certainly not the place to debate this, but let's face it,the Europeans "taking" their land happened 100's of years ago. Also, whatever the government has tried up here and also in the States (mainly giving large amounts of money, to respective Bureaus of Indian Affairs) has not helped or worked, perhaps it's time for a new approach, something that I do not have enough knowledge on to propose. |

Let me start by saying I have many native friends and have became good friends with a few. Your right the Europeans did steal there land and did many things that are just disgusting but lets face it that was along time ago and all of them if not all most of them are dead today. Let's not forget what happened but it's time to move on. You don't see the Jews getting a special fund for what the Nazi's did to them. We can help and listen to there stories but there is only so much we should have to do. When my friends all laugh at what they get for free and don't have to work for it, it can be very discouraging to many other people that have had worst lives and have lived in worst conditions. If Canada is suppose to help Canadians shouldn't it help everyone in need not just one race? I don't wanna hear any talking either about the alcohol and this and that because who invented the tobacco??? One of my best friends last name is Chief so I don't wanna hear any your racist comments either because what I have seen and have proof of knowing is enough to make my stomach turn.

The Casino idea is probably the only way to get the jets back. There are no casino's down town except for the bars. Place a Casino in the MTS center and have all the revenues going to Hockey. Another idea is to have a slot machine developed with the jets crest and colors and placed in bars and casinos around the province with the revenues going to the hockey club. The old Win Win or Go Jets Go!!!!!!!!!

I think the casino money is probably stretched pretty thin as it is. Putting ANY finanical responsibility on any level of government for the Jets would not be a popular idea. I dont want my taxes raised any more, thanks.
