Hi all, Here is the development of the Jet Fuel bottle. I like the cap and the embossed glass bottle. However, I don't like the label - I did it quickly and didn't give it alot of thought. So for of those of you who are interested, please give me suggestions for the label (maybe even design one yourself and send it to me...). I am also curious to know some of your ideas for the environment to put the bottle in if this were going to be a real advert. What sort of objects would you place around it? What would be seen in the background? Etc., etc... Please feel free to be honest with critique/comments... cheers

This is really great work Mac, as crazy as your idea sounds, why not have a beer brewed for the team when it returns to be sold at games, there is several micro brewries in Manitoba that might want to take on the exclusive rights to make a beer for JETS games!

To make a bottle that is embosed sounds like a lot of work for the makers of bottles, it might not be pratical, perhaps a transparent sticker, or painted on like the older bottles about 10 years ago, or leave the embossing clear and make the sticker on the neck transparent except for the words.

Well my label would look like.. lets see....
White, logo in the back ground (faded)Winnipeg in in old scroll letters with the est. and the bottom. the bottle should be red, and the label have blue writting.. with logos (all of the jets logo scattered in the corners or possible part of the written part.) JET FUEL in bold caps. again maybe in a creative writting.. i am picturing the letter design on the emblem. That is what i am thinking.. I can draw it no probs but can't scan it.. so yeah.

Just remember they don't allow glass bottles in the arena.

make it plastic, with a nipple top so you won't spill, that would be cool.

Using that name it could also be made into some kind of energy drink sold at the arena as well.

Why not just have the bottles as a souvenier and sell jet fuel as a less expensive, yet tasty tap beer at the games? I don't think any other team has a home-brew cost effective beer.
I mean i'm saying I'd drink Old Style at a hockey game if it meant I got twice as much for the money. That stuff doesn't have to be top quality.

So you are looking for a low quality beer as one of the THE products to be associated with the team in an effort to keep it cheap? Should I get a little worried that NHL hockey might not be the right waggon to jump on for Winnipeg, at this time or is this an isolated opinion?

I've started my first batch of "home brew" JetsFuel. Shall I bring some into Winnipeg when I come in for my next Moose game? I'll sell them for $7.00 per bottle at the NE corner of the MTSC....JK (but seriously I've started making beer...and want to learn more about what is or isn't allowed for micro breweries in Manitoba)

Hey buddy, if I come up to visit from Minneapolis I'm going to try and save as much money as possible! If you want to drink top shelf whiskey all night be my guest! :

Hell, bring up lots of hooch from the US...isn't it cheaper anyways? I'll bring a keg of my latest home brew if you can help me sneak it in close to our seats...

As far as energy drink etc go, let me give a little more precision to my original idea. I view JETFUEL this way; A microbrewery pub combined with an area with more of a night club feel where people could dance (seperated, but with direct access one to the other). The pub would sell really nice food and all sorts of wonderful imported beers along side the in-house brews (JetFuel could be a line with a Pilsner, Lager, Ales ranging in colour and taste, maybe even a Porter and/or Stout). The bar would sell JetFuel Lager and Pilsner in bottles along side crap like Labatt's and Molson etc. The beer would also be available in bottles in the beer and liquor stores throughout the city (province?) as well as on tap at select pubs. After costs and a percentage for re-investment (product evolution, marketing...) all proceeds would go to the Jets (or ROTJ, depending on the timeline...). I already have some great ideas for the pub and bar and how they would be THE place to watch away games on large screens... As far as an energy drink goes... I see what you guys are saying about the name, but here are my 2 arguments against it; 1. Energy drinks don't have a wide enough cross section of the drinking market, and probably not as profitable as beer. 2. Energy drink = healthy living :~: Jet fuel = toxic .... therefore better suited to a substance which is inebriating... ;D Ratzy - Why not bring some to MOntreal for a Canadiens game. You can stay at my home no joke. I would love to taste your home brew.

They should have a pop line of beverages called Jet Fuel too... although I assume it would never be sold in the rink as Coke probably gives more $ in its exclusivity deal with the rink than Jet Fuel pop would bring in.

I was at Teasers last night... and they were serving those tall cans.. (i think they hold a beer and a half) NOt the king cans the other ones.. ANYWHO.. that is what you can serve at the Jets' games.. those cans.. they are bigger then the other beers served.. so people will want beer run time cut down a bit so they can watch more of the game.. so they will buy the can with more beer in it!
