I think the biggest revenue idea would be to charge money for tickets. This is pretty much what every team in the league is doing right now. There are a few teams in the South that are experimenting with free tickets, but it looks like that's not going to pan out in the long run.
I think people generally wouldn't be opposed to paying money for tickets as long as they get to watch the hockey game.
There should probably be a way for people to be lots of tickets in a row. Like the whole season or something.
From what I've read the MTSC holds about 15,000 people. Now if each of those seats had to be paid for; well you see where I'm going with this... badda-bing!
I'm still working on some theories about paying for hot dogs and having to pay someone to park your car. Please keep checking back in here every single day if you are interested in buying the Winnipeg Jets someday!!

I've got another one! Let's get companies to pay to put their picture on the rink boards.
We can call it "Rink board advertising"...
Maybe we can put some on that fancy ring-a-ma-bob that goes around below the curtain in that new arena we have.
Lets charge people for being in a "living room at the game" as well!
Lets keep these great ideas flowin!

How about charging more for beer? I was at an NHL game a couple of years ago, and it was only $6.50 for a beer! What a steal! I mean 3 for less than $20. I bought beers for our whole section as those great prices! I would easily pay twice that!!!
And $12 for a hot dog. Plus $2 for mustard.

you're all morons. I know you're jealous that I've come up with 90% of the ideas on this section of the website, but posting crap threads like this isn't a real bright thing to do... Seriously.. think up your own if you don't like seeing "BlackThorne_TheGodfather" in this revenue source section so much... Idiots...

My idea will easily generate more revenue. Fact. I agree, nik... I think charging people for tickets is, by far, the biggest revenue source yet! I am very suprised nobody else has suggested it! Good job!

My idea will easily generate more revenue. Fact. too sweet, I can't believe I just stumbled across this thread now, brilliant! I have literally been laughing out loud for about 5 minutes, I love it. One problem though boys, if you keep coming up with these rev streams, the players are going to start demanding hundreds of thousands of dollars (maybe millions?) just to play the game.

I believe that we could stock a lively team of Canadians who will play for free beer.

We could make our players carve there own sticks out of solid oak. One tap on those piss-poor one piece composites and every player on the other team will have broken sticks. Plus at $200 a pop, it will save us 1000s of dollars.

Just make them pay for them, go back to wood sticks, I would really love to know what the stick cost is lets say for a Moose such as Jimmy Roy? per year
