I had an amazing idea.
Now this is somewhat similiar to the ideas some others have suggested, such as turning one of buildings near the MTS Centre into a casino, sports bar, and/or exclusive "club" for season ticket holders, but why not take it a step further?
I foresee an indoor "theme park" of sorts that wouldn't cost too much and would appeal to everyone.
It would include a gymnasium where you could play floor hockey. A huge "games room" where you can play air hockey, 'bubble hockey' (remember those?), and tv's set up with PS2's and Xbox's (hockey games ONLY though!), as well as various hockey arcade games that have been in arcades in the 80's and 90's.
You could take slapshots on a goalie and have your shot velocity measured in MPH... there'd be a kiosk (or entire store) dedicated to selling both old and new Jets merchandise...
On game days (whether the Jets were playing in the MTSC or not), there'd be t.v.'s set up everywhere where people could watch the game... of course there'd be some kind of "snack bar" there too...
It could include a new Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame too...
Hmm... now that I think about, this probably wouldn't be too cheap... but still... it'd be a hit; I've no doubts of that.
