How about a Jets-themed birthday party for the kids out there?
The parents could pay a fee (I have no idea... $49.99 perhaps?) and have the new Jets mascot show up, along with all kinds of Jet-themed merchandise... maybe even a Jet player!
For kids 5 - 14 only
And what kid 5-14 living in or near Winnipeg wouldn't want this?

Don't worry Yar... I have something extra-special planned for you when I get a job with the Jets...
I don't wanna give too much away, but I'll drop the following hints.... "MTS Centre non-game day".... "Jets strippers"... and "free booze".

Because it will likely be too expensive for many families of four or more to attend Jet games, this will be a good way for the kids to experience the Jets.

This is a fine extra revenue idea.

It is a good idea, the cost would have to be up @ $100.00 minimum though. It has to have an actual profit to be worth it. (travel, wage, promo stuff, etc.)

yup...mascots are earning $50+ per gig so unless you charge $150-200 you won't make much of a profit after handing out balloons, driving to the gig, etc. And really, even if you do a birthday gig each weekend day (Sat-Sun) all year that's only about $10,000 per year...kind of a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things...

I was thinking more along the lines of 4-5 gigs a day. (Sat & Sun) So that's about 8 a week, Over a year the team could make @ $ 60 000.....maybe a wee bit high. But I think an owner may just find this idea a great way to give back to the city.....like "Goals For Kids". It is a chairitable donation, = tax break??

Probably a high estimate and you'd have to have multiple mascot costumes to be able to do 4-5 gigs a day. How many parents are going to spend $100-200 on a mascot for their kids birthday? You could take 50 kids mini-golfing for that price.
