I believe they already do this in Calgary and Vancouver. Jet games that are only available via Pay-per-view could be show at SilverCity Polo Park/St. Vital for, say, $14.95; a portion of which will go directly to the team. Now if only SilverCity sold beer... I think a few in Montreal do actually.

Lucky jerks...
Well I wouldn't be surprised to see SilverCity in Winnipeg selling beer within the next 5 years. Especially if this pay-per-view idea takes off. There will be demand for it I'm sure.
If enough people want it, Famous Players will do something about it.

This will never happen MTS will sell ppv games on tv. People will sit at home and drink beers with buddies instead of going to a theatre.

Jets games at Silver City would never work. Unless the Jets made it to the second round of the playoffs, it would be a complete flop.

I can tell you all right now, this idea will be a smashing success.
Last night I went to SilverCity for a WWE pay-per-view. It was $14 and the placed was PACKED.
And Wpg has way more hockey fans than wrestling fans (although I know wrestling is huge here).
This idea will make bundles of cash; I've no doubts.

You forgot to mention that WWE has only one PPV per month, while the Jets would have 82, not including playoffs...

^ WRONG!
The only Jets games shown at SilverCity would be the "pay-per-view" games that aren't available on tsn, sportsnet, or cbc.
It would be far, FAR less than 82 games.
Pay-per-view...you think anyone would go if the game was televised on Sportsnet?

Once again, and for the last time, that would only be profitable in the playoffs. Why would anyone go downtown or to a theatre to watch a Jets PPV game, when they can see it at a local pub, or on Pay TV for much cheaper?

(laughing)
People could do that for WWE pay-per-views, yet SilverCity was PACKED!
So too will it be for Jets PPV games.

Why would anyone go downtown or to a theatre to watch a Jets PPV game, when they can see it at a local pub, or on Pay TV for much cheaper? being in a theater with a couple hundred other fans watching a game is alot more excitement than watching at home on pay per view, imo. also, alot of people don't like the bar/alcohol scene, and theaters would appeal to them as well as families !
