Hey guys, I thought I would mention that I saw two Winnipeg Blue Bombers games this week on television.
First time I ever have. Okay, well a couple of times I saw a minute or two of a game within the last year.
Whether or not you know this, but these Canadian Football League games are viewer accessible
here in the United States on cable television. How, you ask?
Well, previously I saw those couple of first glances here in the New York City television market by seeing
a reairing of either CBC or TSN's coverage of a CFL game. Recently, I had added to my cable lineup
high definition channels on Cablevision's iO Digital Cable that serves my very local area. One HD channel
in particular is called
WorldSport HD, a part of Cablevision's VOOM HD networks.
www.worldsporthd.com/Apparently, Cablevision struck a deal to show CFL games. Earlier this week, WorldSport HD showed a re-airing
of a June 23rd game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (preseason?).
Get this, last night's game between the Blue Bombers and Montreal Alouettes was on here! I must admit
that while I watched for a while that I thought of the Winnipeg Arena because the football stadium is located
in Polo Park (west side of the city).
My question is, has anyone up there heard of WorldSport HD? How about knowing that CFL games are
shown on American television?
