Just heard on CJOB, Bob Iriving talking to Doug Berry about Kevin Glenn, Berry saying it looks like the type of injury that'll keep a player out for a few weeks, that leaves us Banks and Dimwitt at QB, I don't like our chance anymore, these guys SUCK, lets face it!

Next year, we need to shop around for a reliable QB!

and teams like BC have had a revolving door of top notch QB's for years! Printers, Dickenson, and Pierce are all better than Glenn, Dimwittie, and Banks. And for some reason we went after Spurgeon instead of one of their good QB's...

Even Jarious Jackson looked solid. I have been saying for 2 years now, Glenn is not a quality quarterback. Get rid of him, get someone reliable, and someone who's a little less soft.

Was Glenn not signed to a 5 year extension earlier this year?

Glenn's problem is not his own skills, it's the fact he is a glass QB with decent-at-best talent. We've been hearing all year, coach's & media types refering to Glenn's role with the Bombers as a "mistake-free" QB. In other words, he can't win a game on his own. He can't drive the team, but if he doesn't lose the game himself, we have a chance to win. That is not the qualities you look for in a starting QB.
On the other hand, we went cheaper on QB and spent money on defense and receivers, so what are you gonna do?
I thought Banks look terrible as usual. There should be outrage about Banks. A QB making $150,000/year to do nothing but suck and is a free agent in the off-season. His contract should have been re-negotiated or Banks released.
Dimwit looked impressive in my opinion. Aside from the interceptions. He had a great arm, moved the ball and looked good. His mistakes were rookie mistakes: Tunnel-vision on the long ball, forcing passes, no running.
As far as I am concerned, unless Glenn is in a coma, he better play. If he can't, he should probably retire. This is football. Remember when Matt Dunigan won the Grey Cup for the Argos? He couldn't move his shoulder without it being frozen. That's called tough. Glenn needs to play no matter what and prove he's a leader.

I totally agree with everything except the what you said about Dimwit. Regardless of moving the ball, when you throw three interceptions in a half, rookie or not, I don't think you can look impressive. Maybe in a few years, but I thought he looked terrible on Saturday. If Glenn doesn't play this weekend, I'd say that his stay with the Bombers is over. If you can't play in the playoffs due to a sprained ankle, you really can't play football, and nevermind being a "franchise" player. IMO, we have to get a better QB, geuss that's not possible though with the 3 year extension we just signed Glenn to.

Was Glenn not signed to a 5 year extension earlier this year? No five year extension the standard long term CFL contract is 2 years plus an option.

He doesn't even need an ankle to play QB. Tape it up, hand it off to Roberts or stand in the shotgun and throw. It's nice to move the pocket but if you have to run from defenders, you're already in trouble.
