What do the Bombers need to change, if anything, to be a contender for this years Grey Cup? Don't get me wrong, they've been good, much better than anyones seen in a long time, but lets not get carried away, they're no BC, Calgary, or Montreal.
I actually think they need to give the ball to Roberts more, both on the ground, and through the air. I also think they need to give Stoddard the Ball more, as we saw last week he can be a key contributer. So I'm going with Spread the ball around more on offence.
Anyways, let me know on your thoughts!

I think that if they play like they did in the second half of the banjo bowl they'll be fine. I think what they need to improve the most is; Adjusting to their opponent quicker and fixing their own mistakes. It shouldn't take a whole half of football to correct.

Here are my following problems I have..
1 - QB is awful and seems to be more interested in getting sacked and throwing interceptions. 2 - Lack of passing the ball... seems to be a little predictable. 3 - Coaching staff makes a lot of errors and needs to come down a little harder. 4 - Injuries have been hurtin us. 5 - Westwoods time is a matter of minutes.. you don't help a team with a 72% kickin rate. 6 - Seems as tho there is no complete focus... this needs to be changed 7 - I personally don't like being a part of the EAST... but at least we play most of the west... Still don't like it tho... I like being West. I am sure there is more i just can't think of any...lol

Good points. Glenn has been up and down all year. Just terrible since coming back form his knee injury. Glenn was on the rise, but with his knee injury, I have been wondering if his career as a starter is over. He might just be a back up at best. Guess we will find out by the start of next season.

I know people say that the CFL is a Quarterback's league, but I'm not sure I buy that.
I have always believed you build in the trenches and the Bombers have been snake bit this year. I've lost track how many the Bombers have lost this year for extended periods...Goodspeed, Sherridan, Abou, and I think both Khan and St. Germain have missed some too. Now Garrick Jones.
I think an average QB who pushes his play a little higher at key times can lead his team to a win in the Grey Cup. Tom Burgess was average at best, and won it for the Blue in 90'. Sean Salisbury, despite his NFL credentials, was no Superstar in 88'.
More recently...Marcus Crandell in 01' with the Stamps.
I think Glenn is a decent quarterback, not great, but decent. He's made some stupid deicsions this year, but I see Damon Allen make some bonehead ones too. I think if Stegall and Roberts can stay healthy and get their touches that will open things up for Brazzell (when he returns) and Armstrong.
I think if the Bombes can get healthy, the host city could have its home team in the Grey Cup November 19th.
I concur on
Westwood...72% is not impressive... I hate being in the East too... Offence is predictable at times, but the ball control thing the Bombers want to excute can make that be predictable if the run game doesn't establish itself early... Head Coach is still learning, but is a stright shooter who doesn't make excuses...

I still believe in Glenn. He was terific last year on a terrible team. He was very good this year until he got hurt and he had a great game this past weekend. And keep in mind they never have the same O-line for two straight games, I think the QB is alright.
Armstrong looks like he could be killer for us. When Brazzel is back, it gets better. We still have Cavil on the injured list too. We may have the best receivers on paper.
Westwood needs to go. If we make the playoffs, that is when you need to really count on a kicker to hit those field goals and win the game by 3 or 6 points. We cannot count on Westwood to do that, so there is no reason for him to be there.

glenn had a great game on sunday,so did the recievers.even though most of the passes where crossing routes over the middle, he was quite poised and seemed confident in his read. looking alot better now since his surgery

Recievers need to step up because the D knows Stegall is the primary target, secondary target and usually the third target as well.
With Armstrong now on the team, it looks as if the Bombers now have two awesome targets. If Brazzell can start catching and Thurmon stop dropping, we'll have some great options for Glenn.
Glenn is good enough to run this team.
With people like Roberts, Stegall and Armstrong on the offence, they will be doing quite well for the rest of the season. Also, Stoddard and Eckhart hopefully get more throws and catches to really confuse the defence.
Our defence is sound enough that with a few breathers, they can stop any offence.

Other - Stop Losing and Start WINNING, My God, I remember back in the 80's when "Blue Bombers" meant something, like your not getting out of Winnipeg Stadium with your life or a W, is this problem we have now a product of Community Ownership and our inhability as a result to get the real talent in the league to play here? What do I mean by that $$$$$$$$$
