I saw the stadium pokey had designed, and decided i should compute some of my stadium sketches. my stadium has elements of both canad inns stadium and the stadium in seattle. i haven't drawn in a hotel, but i left room in the corners to build hotels if i had to guess, i'd say that it has between 30-35 thousand seats. it has 40 luxary suites and 4 party suites, i didn't draw in any club seats, they'll just go anywhere there are 3 levels in my stadium, a lowel bowl, a second level, and an upper deck. there are 10 rows in the lower bowl, which rings around the entire stadium, like the arena. there are 42 rows in the second level, which only spans the sidelines, and there 28 rows on each side of the upper deck. the south endzone has stands that narrow up to a scoreboard, kinda like seattle. Like pokey, i shifted the upper deck back so you could see the layout of the luxury boxes. the north endzone has 2 sections of seats that are just there to be dirt cheap i've got some more designs i've drawn, i might post them after i draw them on the computer

that was kinda the point of saying it's styled after canad inns and qwest field, duh. plus i have a better stadium i'm designing, made to have maximum SRO seats, plus with a "few minor adjustments" this seating structure could be turned into taylor field, husky stadium(seatlle) spartan stadium, ralpfh wilson stadium, Miche Stadium, Champiagn Memorial stadium, just to name a few off the top of my head. a 2 tiered stadium like this is a very common building. don't get into politics J, you'll only get burned

Good Job Yogi. Cant wait to see the 3rd concept when it's finished.

here's my new concept. i made it to max out the SRO area's. this is done by having the lower concourse have a view of the field, like the ballpark does. also by having the hotel and lounge in the north endzone the SRO seating only gets higher. the corne hotels could also be used as support columns for a roof or retractable roof. well here it is, like ussual the decks are shifted back so you can see under them. here's a rough elevation sketch also

sounds good, but isnt the whole point of a new stadium to get more seats? that was my understanding anyways.

no offence the gap between 2nd level and field level doesnt make sense we would have to expand the stadium... there would be no bench room it wouldn't be feasible but still looks alright dont like the gap though lmao !! but great effort man !

Ohhhh !!! Alright. Sorry misread your post then I would prefer a stadium like Lambeau Field. That is a thing of beauty only not as many seats and actual seats

Some nice work there Yogi-but im thinking would a single level horseshoe shape or u shape of around 30-35 thousand ppl be the least costly, depends on who's building it i guess. That way one endzone would be open for adding temp seating for cup games etc,and future developement like hotels and such.I wonder if there is a way to cover the u shape and have a glass wall in the empty endzone, that you could remove to add the grey cup seats.Kinda like playing in a airplane hanger LOL........

Why is the field in a hole? It's below ground level. Doesn't make sense to me, it would look bad, and I don't see how it could benefit anyone, but maybe someone can enlighten me.

the field would be inclosed by the rest of the stadium, no one would notice. Having a portion below ground level would save on constuction costs because its that much less they would have to build up (I presume).

Having a portion below ground level would save on constuction costs because its that much less they would have to build up (I presume). Any savings by not building further up would be far surpassed by the infrastructure needed to properly drain the accumulation of rain and snow in a field below grade like that. Is there a height restriction? Would this be at the same location as the current stadium? By the way yOGIDaBear, what is the angle of the stands? The upper deck looks to me like it is around 45°. I would be freaked out climbing to my seat, or doing the wave... Not sure if it would conform to the national building code (but am no expert in stadium construction).

i actually free bombed the whole thing really, no measurement involved at all, but i made sure that the upper decks had a full view of the field which is probably the reason for that angle. heres another stadium i "designed". www.ourbombers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=2080

Hey like the newer one on the Bomber site again some nice work.maybe if they ever built it with the hotels, they could add about a 1000 seats on top of it in an enclosed area surrounded by glass for the cup games LOL.Those would be premium nose bleed tickets for sure............Or they could put balcony's on the side of the hotel and have Bomber Suite night games,it would be like having a private suite for the average fan.....
