MOC I was just kidding. At least in your country French is an official language, unlike the wide variety of languages my government caters to. Sorry, call me what you want but if you want to live and work in the States (and weren't born there, like myself) know their language and laws.

Anyone have any ideas of their own what the new stadium should look like if they don't make the one that the Bombers drew up?

If the stadium was to be built somewhere else, the perfect location would be at the U of M. Everyone knows that most of the people with the most expendible income live in Ft Garry, tuxedo, Charleswood, River Park South, and Southdale/Island Lakes. So why build it in Transcona? Wouldn't that be essentially the same as putting it at the Red River Ex site. I wonder what people from St James and Charleswood think of a stadium off Dugald in South Transcona!

Well, Transcona is becoming a place to live. The value of our house is almost triple what it was only 10 years ago. The value of property in Unicity is low.
I'm not saying build it in Transcona or else, I just think it would be a bit silly to be on the Ex grounds. There is no chance there for making the area better.
I feel that near the U of M or say North Henderson would be nice as well.
The point in transcona I think would be nice would be just north east of the Lagemodiere and the Perimeter. It's nice country.

I just started reading this thread and I was ready to post about putting it at the U of M... then I saw your post and "damn! He beat me to it...." It has a hell of a lot of room, and it could easily go where the current field is... plus parking would be no problem, you know how many lots we have here its insane, they are huuuge too! I mean, it might not be the "ideal" place but its got such easy access and not that far from everywhere... North Henderson eh? I wouldn't mind that at all

But there isn't any space on North Henderson, is there?

Hmm, anywhere past Glenway it looks like there is space. It is right by the perimiter too, would take alot of work, and need more streets then henderson and the perimeter...
Maybe even somewhere inbetween Henderson, Raleigh and the Perimeter =\
or from the Perimeter and Pritchard Farm road?
It's definately not a great spot for it, i would enjoy it cause im 5 min from there ;D

What do you mean not a great spot? That North Perimeter has so much potential. Especially somewhere around the river. It would look so nice with it all lit up. Plus it would give the North East part of the city the much needed publicity it needs. Winnipeg is growing, and we need something there to show much much it's growing.

Access to it, (Henderson, Perimeter highway... traffic would be really bad) you said before about flooding... I'm not sure of how bad it gets by there... but i doubt it would be good...
I think its too much of a suburb to throw a stadium in...

How is putting it on North Henderson any different than putting out at the West Perimeter?
The Stadium should be downtown...period.

Of course it should be downtown. But it won't be because the city is wanting to build residential condos along the river.

That would drive residents away from Downtown. Put it in the Point Douglas area, if razing half those abandoned factories would be cost effective. There is no room at the Forks/Waterfront Drive

I just came up here, seems like a ton of room on Waterfront drive for this, also seems there is lots of room for it at the forks. I must say the Forks is incredible since the last time I was there, this to me will become the focal of the city, so what's wrong with the Stadium there
