One thing that I liked about the old Winnipeg Arena was the massive picture of Queen Elizabeth II. I've never been to the MTS Centre, but I understand that Her Majesty is not there. So, where is the picture and would you like to see it hanging when the Jets begin to play there in the NHL in a few years?

Nice picture and all, but.......I think it's way too big to go inside the MTS. That said, maybe out in the concourse, but I don't know where it is now.

I thought that was the worst picture of the Queen that I have ever seen, but it was just enormous, it would have to go in the concourse, but why bother, they didn't win enough when it was in the arena, maybe it brought bad luck!

To quote Harold Ballard:
"She doesn't buy tickets does she?"
I would prefer a Manitoba luminary or dignitary like Louis Riel or Izzy Asper's photo intead of the Queen. The Queen's picture should be in Ottawa's rink and maybe Regina's. (They are the Queen City after all...) That should be it. After that each city should honor their own with a picture in the arena.

Butch is a good guy and I would have no problem honoring him at the rink.
Hal Anderson DID make the Greatest Canadian top 30 so he should win out though...

butch was the guy who helped the isle over the top...conn smythe 1981 Unless I'm mistaken, he also held the record for lowest PIM total for a Lady Byng Trophy winner. (2 full minutes I believe.) He also won the Bill Masterton Award for leadership and dedication when still a member of the Kings in 1978. I'd put him on the wall but only if I get the Tumba Helmet!!!
