Sure, I know the Bombers only average around 27,000... but I'm sure that attendance will increase at a new facility. After all, just look at the attendance increase for the Goldeyes and Moose in their new facilities.
Let's be ambitous. Let's strive to be 1st or 2nd in CFL attendance every single year.

i think 35,000 is a good number. more than that would be a little too much. we dont want a stadium thats gonna look super empty even though there's 30,000 fans at the game. as long as they put a contending team on the field, fans will totally show up. especially in a new facility.

It should be 35,000... If it's not I'm gonna be *really* mad. Just kidding.

I say around 30,000
It will create a larger demand for tickets, the more you can't have it the more you want it/appreciate it.
Also, they won't be blacking out the damn games if we sell it out. Would be harder to sell out 35,000. Although that would be nice to have for larger games or other events... =\
I'm kinda split on this one now... way to second guess yourself Remy!

I'd like to see a 35000 seat staidum but only if we can add more seats for the playoffs or grey cup games. We could easily get 55000 plus for the grey cup.

But how would that be possible to do with your beloved Domed stadium??? Easy. Build a 55,000 seat stadium, but only use the 35,000 in the lower bowl and curtain off the upper decks. Just like BC Place. <Shudder> Imagine THAT atmosphere...

That would be just like the MTS Centre. When I went to see it on a tour, before it opened, I was really impressed. With the curtains, it looks like a bush-league arena, like something Red Deer or Kelowna would have built.

And the sad part is, we have the only arena in North America that curtains off half the building for its main tenant.
Only in Winnipeg!
Back in topic, I'm really hoping capacity of the new Bomber stadium is 35,000.
30,000 is too small... we should aim high- try and be 1st in the CFL in attendance every year.
We can't have that with a 30,000 seat stadium

Oh.
Hmm.
Well, lets aim for 2nd in the league then.
I just heard that Sask. is expanding their stadium to 32,000-35,000 from their current 27,000 capacity.

Yeah, permanent end zone seating, a new lounge at the other end, and they're finally getting a video screen.

They're also getting a field covering, allowing action (albeit not CFL games) on the field during inclement weather.

no matter what people say....bigger is better.....30 000 people in a 40 000 seat stadium is still 30 000 ticket buyers.....and hey....blackouts shouldn't be a concern....if your in the city.....go to the game....cause if you got time to watch the game on tv than you got time to go to a game...

Bigger is not better. Take Toronto, Montreal, and BC Lions as examples. Montreal and Toronto left their massive stadiums, and are either building or renovated an existing small stadium n town. In Vancouver, there is talk of demmolishing BC Place, just like Seattle (Vancouver's twin sister) did to the Kingdome to the south...

well...i don't know why those teams are moveing to different places....but i still don't think a bigger stadium would hurt....the stadium size will depend on where the money is comeing from....

Make the new stadium capacity at 38,000 max. I would hate to see the new stadium look like a Moose game- curtaining off the upper portion.
