If the players and owners want to play for the love of the game then do it.It s simple plat for the cup but sell the tickets for no profit instead charge people a little extra let s say 20$ a ticket for all seats no profit goes to the owners or players but instead to those who work concessions the zamboni guy allt hose who work are hardest hit by this strike. And tradition can be carried on and not ruined.i would go to a game and pay to watch as long as the money was going to the employees who work the arena. For the love of the game also includes the fans and those behind the scenes.

Impossible. Those players would be working for the NHL and thus under that insurance. The NHLPA would never go for it. The owners don't want to lose their star players in the future because of a cup that would have no real meaning this year.
If it did happen. Just do Calgary vs Tampa Bay. I would support this. But as I said, the NHL and NHLPA wouldn't.

It won't happen, but it would be sweet. It's gonna kill not to have the playoffs this spring... that's when I will probably meltdown completely and move to Russia to watch Alexandre Ovechkin play... or just Halifax and buy Moosehead season tickets.
