slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL/2005/02/02/918110-cp.html"Atlanta GM Don Waddell has already suggested his season ticket base of 8,000 has been halved." The NHL All-Star game in Atlanta has been cancelled. (Note: They won't get it in 2006 or anytime again soon either). No All-Star game profits. 4,000 season ticket holders lost. There's a good chance Atlanta is now the front-runner to come to Winnipeg. I'm off to River City Sports to buy a Jets jersey with "Heatley" on the back.

Until I see Heatly on the ice of the MTS Centre then I'll believe it. It would great if it happens though!

Where does that say anywhere that they're moving to Winnipeg?
Give your head a shake.

Atlanta has never been much of a sports town. The Braves are the only team that draws, and that is only because they have been World Series contender for the past 14 years. Look at the NBA Hawks. The arena looks empty every game. The NHL Flames relocated to Calgary for the same reason. The Falcons were near the bottom of the NFL in attendance.

When the Hell did I say they're moving to Winnipeg? I'm saying hearing this news (half their season ticket base is gone) might make them the new-front runner to relocate!

Give YOUR head a shake And berkerkled, f*ck off and stop posting here. All you do is whine and take cheapshots at me. Get a life! And in the meantime be thankful I give you stuff to read every day. Idiot. 1. You never have any ideas for revenue sources, etc. 2. You NEVER show up to ANY JetsOwner events. you're worthless. Whoa.... I can feel the love in this forum

I've never been to a JetsOwner event, nor have I contributed a revenue source. Guess I'm worthless too. Guess a lot of people are worthless.
Get over yourself. Honestly.

MOC if someone took cheapshots at you on a msg. board, something tells me you wouldn't sit there and say nothing.
Call it a hunch.
I try and keep this crap off the board, but morons like "berzerkled" insist on acting immature and posting b.s. about other people for the world to see.
Like I said, imagine if someone took cheapshots at you on a public msg. board. Put yourself in my shoes.

Seems like someone's stirring up some good poop.
A lot of people are taking some comments way to seriously.
Yes, some people want to see the NHL being played back in Winnipeg. Some don't. Some have lost total faith in the NHL owners and players. Some have found their money better suited for other things.
One thing for certain. The NHL will not be the same after this. All the ad revenue lost, all the sponsor contracts lost. TV Deals lost. Only in Canada will the sports networks bother to show games. I don't know if that NBC deal is exclusive or not but Fox and ESPN won't be that eager to play NHL on their networks after this.
It's a sad time for the NHL, we can't possibly think that a team will be back before the lockout ends. If one does though, I'll be happier than anything.
Come on everyone, let's all get along, those who come to the Jetsowner forums should be those who support the cause as well. If you're here to stir poop up then go somewhere else. If you're here to ask questions and to give options and ideas or just to read, you're all welcome.
Just please, this garbage on the forums can't be helping any cause.
Oh yeah, I forgot, Go Jets Go

hey, talk to Berzerkled... he's the one that insulted me for no reason.
Don't say "C'mon guys, let's get along"... if you want us to get along, simply PM the troublemaker (berkerled) and tell him to "Keep it off the board!"

Blackthorne, the fact that you call everyone else an idiot leads me to believe you're insecure with your own intelligence.

TEXTI know there has been rumors about Atlanta being sold and purchased by a Winnipeg group for a couple of months now, and it's a persistent rumor as well...you negative types are truly a turn off. "Here come our Winnipeg Jets"

I myself am a negative person, with a position outlook. LOL.
I know the Jets will be back, I don't care if the Moose graduate into the NHL and become our new Jets, Just as long as we got the NHL Winnipeg Jets. That's all I want.
Here's a little nugget for your brain, If The Chipman would have bought the Jets name and named the Manitoba Moose the Winnipeg Jets, I feel there would be a lot more people actually liking the team. But I would still want the NHL (Premium league) in Winnipeg.
