With less than 14 hours till Bettman has a news conference which will cancel the season, the NHL has sent out one last 42 million dollar cap which will either be approved meaning that there will be a season or....
For the first time in Major sports league history, an entire season has been wiped out and for the first time since early this century, the Stanley Cup will not be awarded.
However, in regards to the Jets. This cap could prove to be a starting point to bring the Jets back. If some teams just don't have the attendance to support their team, they could move to Winnipeg where the games will be sold out for seasons to come.
I think that the Jets could survive but it would be a very hard journey because team owners across Canada will say (Vancouver for sure) that Winnipeg failed already and doesn't have enough support. It will be a war. But with so many people buying up Jets merchandise, and Bring back the Jets talk getting more popular in the media, it could happen.
Those of you here that know me know I'm a realist and a dreamer, which is a contradiction to eachother but, I think of it as a happy medium. What I say goes then, and what I say is WE WANT THE JETS, WE WANT THE JETS.
Go Jets Go
