Yo guys, you wanna talk sportsmanship go give it to Ryan Callahan. Check the game sheet he got 5 and a 20 min misconduct for slashing either Oveckin or Malkin on an empty net goal. EMPTY NET. I think that's what provoked the melay at the bench. But if you're gonna point them point them both ways!

Trev. lol Russians are known for that. AND i never seen any other team go taunt another team or fans like that. Thye did that at the prospect games aswlel. To bad whl and the rest beat the sheet outta the russians shoVE THAT UP THERE TALE PIPE. IM SICK OF THERE IMATURE CRAP THEY DO. (The day i see pavel bure do that, the day he will never be my favorite hockey player again.) Its horse sheet. I hope the canadians are ready for this game, and not let the russians act like a bunch of classless idoits. I was goin for russia and then i see them do that, i was like "WHAT AM I THINKING" what a bunch of fricken 2 year olds on the ice. Ovechkin and Malek better look out, cuz phaneuf will put em back in russia.

It said Ovechkin and Malkin were both taunting players and fans after they scored their empty net goals. The slash wasn't mentioned. Sure the slash was a stupid move and it was made in the heat of the competition but rubbing salt in the wounds of American fans and players by taunting them is just cowardly. Mark my word, Phaneuf and Webber will get them. I hope all the American fans who go to the game will cheer on Canada.

Hey, on the subject of Belarus, anytime someone was shown in a USA jersery or waving a flag on the screens last night, a pretty good BEL-A-RUS chant would break out. Had a couple going at the TSN booth later too.
I never got to see the Ovechkin Show taunting the US players, that's a little uncool, besides that's the fans jobs!

I was just watching Off the Record on TSN, and Stan Buttler made me remember a lot of things about the history of classless Russians in the world juniors. 1987 The Canadians were dominating the tournament and on their way to a gold medal. Canada was beating Russia 4-2. The Soviet Union(Russians) who were out of medal contention began the brawl, the canadians defended themselves. Both teams were eliminated and Canada lost their chance at gold. 2001 Ilya Kovalchuck on a breakaway towards an empty net pumps his fist in the air and celebrates before scoring on the empty canadian net. 2003 Alexandre Ovechkin falls in the canadian zone like he was shot causing the play to stop when the Canadians were begining a rush. When Ovechkin is on the bench he is smiling and laughing. The next shift he is on the ice skating like he never got hurt. 2005 Ovechkin sits on the bench by himself away from his team in the dressing room. During pre game warm up and before the puck drops he skates in the opponents zone and pretends to deke out the opposing goalie. Against the USA both Ovechkin and Malkin taunted the players and fans.
Bottom line: These Russian players have NO class.
Bob Mackenzie said if Ovechkin tried his deeking thing on Jeff Glass during the pre game skate there will be huge problems.
The Canadians will stomp the Russians, and Ovechkin and Malkin better keep their head up for Phaneuf and Webber.

We all know that the Russians have had problems with the way they handle themselves since forever ago. The problem lies not with the players but rather with coaching. For example, here in Canada we have the Program of Excellence, a program that teaches skills, attributes and above all respect. Out in Russia they don't have camps like this. Sure they have skills camps but no one teaches them the value of respect. Do they sometimes cross the line? Ok maybe I can't even deny they do. But my theory is if you have a problem do something about it to stop it. For example Colin Fraser stated "They had the right to do it they were putting the pucks in the net". Yeah so maybe if that clownshoes Al Montoya could stop a beachball the Americans wouldn't have had a problem. Also it's such a stupid storyline to carry going into a gold medal game. I for one don't give a Go Jets Go if they want to celebrate. Go right ahead. To me it doesn't affect the outcome of the game. Russians are still some of the most talented players in the world with a knack for winning.
