You're right Joel! Granted, HOCKEY is the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear "Kansas City", but STILL! I just don't think they can support a team. The first thing that comes my mind is BBQ Ribs. The second thing is Wizard of Oz. The third thing is this: Well I might pick a train
I might pick a plane, but if I have to walk
I'm goin' just the same
Goin' to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come

Women's exhibition hockey attracts TWICE the number of fans we usually get for Vancouver Moose games. I think that says how desperate Winnipeg is for some kind... ANY kind.. of alternative to AHL hockey. LOL, that's funny, but true

most americans probably don't know women play hockey, let alone they have a national team If they don't know, they will find out in 30 days. If both American teams do well in hockey (which I doubt for the men;s team) they will watch just as they did in Salt Lake City

The main reason that KC will get a team before Winnipeg is that there are still a couple of idiots willing to overpay for a NHL franchise. Yes, $60 Million bought the Sens, the Sabres and the Ducks and folks in KC and Houston are crazy enough to go up to, say, $80 Million. Winnipeg needs to be patient because sooner than we realize, a) NHL team prices will collapse below what Barry Shenkarow got for his Jets and b) the C$ will hit parity with the US$, and maybe beyond. Don't laugh, in May 2003 we were at US$0.67 and the loonie closed on Friday, 1/20 at 0.8675.

The USA women went on to lose their next game to the Warroad boys high school team, that made news in the States those guys could probably beat on a lot of echl teams...seriously.

Some people say Houston will be successful because Dallas is.
If that was true, wouldn't Anaheim have a packed rink every night because L.A. does??
