even though I disagree with Houston getting a team first I believe they will get one before Winnipeg. Houston has a strong population base and would be able to support an NHL team so they are probably the #1 choice right now for relocation. I hope that at least 2 teams move one to houston and the other to WINNIPEG!
And if things keep getting worse for Pittsburgh and they have to move hopefully they come to Winnipeg if not them then Carolina

Not that I'd pick Houston over Winnepeg as a candidate to get a relocated team, (I wouldn't), but Houston does have a hockey history. Besides being rather sucessful in the AHL and other minor leagues, Houston had one of the most sucessful WHA franchises with many fans back in the 1970's (Houston won 2 Avco Cups, Winnepeg won three, one coming against the Aeros). If there was a list of areas for relocation, in my opinion Houston would be #2 behind Winnepeg. For more info, check out www.houstonhockey.net. They have a lot of good info on the WHA and minor league hockey in the city of Houston.
