Maybe add one of the Florida teams to the list then. I am pretty sure Nashville does not want to sell. All 3 NYC teams are staying put. Phoenix hasn't said anything about relocating, but that could change. I heard a rumor that the new owner of the Sabres has visited Copps Coliseum in Hamilton on at least 2 or 3 occasions....

I say, Anaheim and Pittsburgh for sure right now, so I voted 2.
Carolina, Phoenix, Florida, Atlanta, Washington and Tampa are all probably in the "wait and see" phase until they realize they're never getting their fans back. Then the number will be 7 or 8!

Gretzky should bring the coyoties back Yes, He should. Then we could rename a major roadway "Wayne Gretzky Drive", just like Edmonton!

I can say with confidence that at least 3 NHL teams are desperate to get out of the NHL and into a more successful, profitable business.
It's probably a lot more than 3 too...

What is it... 21 or so NHL teams lose money every year?? Oh yeah, it's way more than 3... And how many of them really want to get out of the hockey business? Maybe 3 or 4, surely not 21.

I would think there is 4 who are deperate, as we are using that as a key word right now... But would think there are atleast 15 owners/inverstor groups who are saying to themselves "well, this sure as hell wasn't my wise-est of investments... damn"

I have to say that its anywhere from 4-8 teams right now.
Carolina, Florida, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix, Anaheim, Washington, Tampa Bay all come to mind as not being the wisest of investments....

I believe it is 3 teams that are in real trouble right now. Pittsburgh, Florida and Carolina. Atlanta has new owners, TB won the Cup, Anaheim was just sold, Phoneix and Nashville are in new arenas, Buffalo and even Ottawa have new owners, Columbus, Dallas, San Jose in my opinion are solid, so who did I miss
