I believe these are the teams that have a chance of relocating to Wpg, none will until 2007-2008 at the earliest. They will need a couple of years under new CBA to see if the can make a go of it where they are now. Here is my top 4 picks i order.
1. Pitt: Mario has a BAD team and a poor outlook for new arena, who's gonna watch? Even a new CBA won't help too much, Mario will bail...my personal favorite for relocation.
2. Carolina: Peter K. is not scared to pull the plug. Look how he bolted from Hartford swallowing a huge fee for early lease termination at the civic centre.
3. Nashville: Have never caught on (because/and) the team is hard to watch, and attendance figures are are dismall.
4. Florida: The honeymoon is over, atleast the few fans they still have can watch their cup run on the NHL network. They have been a disaster ever since. (Bure-Jovanosky does not look bad now eh Vancouver!) Hockey is dead in Florida, even with TB winning the cup.
The teams I'd like to see move are Columbus or Atlanta, based solely on hockey talent.

It will be a very sad day for hockey when the Pens are lost. [2. Carolina: Peter K. is not scared to pull the plug. Look how he bolted from Hartford swallowing a huge fee for early lease termination at the civic centre.] With the knowledge of hockey markets Karmanos has, the city of Honolulu will be the receipents of a NHL team! possible... My money is on the Panthers! Why Columbus? They sellout every game!

I'm all for Atlanta.
That's going to be quite a team to watch in a couple years.

Penguins arnt moving, a company just bought them. They are called the West Coast Group. They want to keep them in in pittsburgh. Mario is loosing some of his share in the team....so you can scratch that one
William "Boots" Del Biaggio, a San Jose, Calif., businessman and friend of the Pittsburgh player-owner, and other unidentified investors have negotiated a letter of intent to buy the team. Lemieux, who has owned the team since it emerged from bankruptcy in 1999, would retain a smaller share of the Penguins.
"In buying any kind of professional sports franchise, it's a long way to go," said Del Biaggio, president and chief executive officer of Sand Hill Capital in Menlo Park, Calif.
"We are committed to Pittsburgh long term if we can pull this off," he said.
Penguins spokesman Tom McMillan declined to discuss Del Biaggio's group, but said Lemieux would remain a fixture with the team.
"Even if there is a substantial new investment in the team, Mario Lemieux will continue to be involved in all aspects of the operation," McMillan said.
Del Biaggio is one of Lemieux's co-owners of the Omaha Lancers of the U.S. Hockey League and also owns part of San Jose's American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Barons.

if they are committed to pittsburgh, then they still have to build a new facility. it would rather see one of the sunbelt teams move here anyway.

Guys, it is whatever team in the entire league that ends up not being able to survive in their current market, not just a Sun Belt franchise.

Lukes got it on the money on that one. Winnipeg can work their way up the standings with crazy draft picks, eh hem...SIDNEY CROSBY. And if they have good management and coaching staff, they could nail some crazy trades. It realy doesnt matter what team they get
